Rin was great
This was such a good trip but it is a long day with a lot of walking so go equipped. Our guide was Rin who was polite and on time. As we discovered he is also extremely interesting and knowledgeable of his subject. We set off at 8am from our hotel and the first stop was at a marble carving workshop with the obligatory gift shop! Amazing to see the skill of the workers in a traditional setting. We then travelled across the Hai van pass, scenery is stunning and Rin gave information as we went along. We then stopped at a pearl farm which was really good and I’m glad we stopped there. Then onto Huy where Rin came into his own,he knew so much and imparted it in a clear understandable way. My husband is a wheelchair user and some of the terrain was difficult and I don’t think I’d recommend this trip if you have walking difficulties or use a wheelchair although was kind and helped where he could. On the way back we had a meal which was included in the price of the trip, I expected a road side cafe but we went into a lovely French restaurant, the food was superb. Then back on the bus for the return journey to Da Nang which took about 3 hours so we all had a much needed nap! Great trip well worth doing.

Tour to Hue City
Our tour guide Rin was fantastic. Please ask for him, he was so informative, knowledgeable, and patient. He was really great with my mother who had to walk less as it was a bit tiring for her. Rin went out of his way to help us through our trip, he even helped me find an eye clinic as I had some sand in my eye. We could have had a better experience honestly!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the recommendation! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the sights, stories, and local experiences. We appreciate your kind feedback and hope to welcome you back soon.

Hue Imperial City Tour
We had a private tour with pick up/drop off at our hotel in Danang. Our tour guide Rin was lovely and very knowledgeable of Hue’s Imperial City. Food was provided at a local restaurant with amazing cuisine. We continued on to the Emperor’s tomb and Temple, which had such rich history. Would definitely recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We're so pleased that you and your family had a memorable day with Rin. We hope to welcome you back to Da Nang again soon.

Wonderful experience and very nice guy. The food was delicious and everything was a win. Had a LOT of food by the end so come hungry. Rin is great at delivering information on history, culture, and religion.

Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Da Nang.
How much does Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Da Nang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Da Nang is not rushed.
Is Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Da Nang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Da Nang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Da Nang and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private tour-Hue Imperial City & Royal Tomb Tour by Hai van pass start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Da Nang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Da Nang?
+
On Outty we rank every Da Nang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills Small Group Tour, Easy Rider Motorbike Tour via Hai Van Pass From DaNang/HoiAn/Hue, Linh Ung Pagoda - Marble Mountains - Hoi An Ancient Town Daily Ingroup Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Da Nang?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Da Nang?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
