    What you'll see and do

    1. Gyor

During the tour we walk around the Old Town of Györ. It’s famous for Baroque style houses and a fabulous Town Hall from 1900. Györ is known for many of its churches that remind us of the 1000-year Christian history of Hungary. We’ll wander around the narrow streets and learn about Hungarian history.

      60 minutes here

    2. Bratislava Old Town

We’ll visit Bratislava Old Town that is famous for its medieval buildings, narrow streets, and little courtyards. You’ll learn about the history of the region as we wander around the city centre. We will also admire the beautiful castle of Bratislava that towers over the whole Old Town. The castle was rebuilt in the 20th century and reminds us of the importance of this city throughout history. In Bratislava you will also have time for a lunch break (not included).

    3. Lednice

We will have a chance to walk around the beautiful and famous gardens surrounding the Palace during the tour. The palace is probably the best example of the English Gothic style in Continental Europe. The Palace and Grounds, about 200h, are under UNESCO World Heritage protection due to their unique architectural landscape.

    Definitely Consider This Option

We had a great experience using Sidetrip to go from Budapest to Prague on our recent vacation! Our goal was to get to Prague with a more interesting experience than riding a train or flying. Our driver/guide, Stefan, was able to customize our trip based on our preferences and time constraints. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cities we visited--Györ and Bratislava--and made sure to stop 1 or 2 times in rest areas for comfort breaks. While I don't remember the exact cost of this service, it was over €500 for 4 people to take a private car. I believe this is significantly more expensive than 1st class train tickets or an economy class flight. However, the excellent service and visiting several cities on the way made this the best choice for our group.

Sightseeing drive bears flying between destinations.

A great experience. Our driver Petr was an excellent driver and informative guide on our trip from Budapest to Prague with sightseeing stops in Bratislava and Lednice. Better way to travel and beats being stuck in an airport all day!

    This way of getting from...

This way of getting from Budapest to Prague is much better than the inconveniences of airports. Our diver/guide Nikolai got in touch with us from the night before and was on time to pick us up at the river cruise terminal. He was an outstanding guide and an excellent driver too. We made a few minor changes to our original schedule and still he managed to get us to our hotel in Prague on time.

You can fly, take a train or opt for a private car transport to get from Budapest to Prague. So glad we chose the car!!

Site see your way from Budapest to Prague! Countryside is beautiful and the stops along the way are lovely!! Driving takes a little longer but it is worth it. The vehicle was new with good windows for all but the ride could have been smoother. Our driver Claire was very good and knowledgeable about our stops.

Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.

How much does Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing cost?

    +

Prices start at $414 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.

Is Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour from Budapest to Prague Sightseeing start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Budapest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup, Budapest free walking tour: Parliament and Shoes Memorial. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Budapest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Budapest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
