About this experience
If you are staying in Santorini and you would like to see the best of the south of the island, this tour is ideal for you. South of the island includes some of the major attractions, places of archaeological interest and lovely villages. Take a tour with one of our licensed local guides that can guide you also inside Akrotiri!. Akrotiri which is one of the most stunning archaeological sites in the world! This remarkably well-preserved ancient Minoan city was buried by a volcanic eruption 3,600 years ago. Archaeologists discovered at the site pottery, furniture, advanced drainage systems, and three-story buildings. Many believe the disaster and the site itself were the inspiration behind Plato’s story of Atlantis.

the best of Santorini tour
this was our 8th cruise and our tour with Kostas was one of the best tours we ever had. the tour was excellent and hit the major attractions of Santorini. Kostas was very informative and explained the history of Santorini and Greece. he was kind, friendly and sometimes humorist. giving his tour a star between 1 & 5, he should get a 10 easily! thank you Kostas for an awesome experience.

An Unforgettable and Authentic Santorini Experience with Kostas
My family and I had the pleasure of taking two separate tours with Kostas, and both were absolutely outstanding. On our first tour, we explored the incredible archaeological site of Akrotiri, wandered through the charming village of Megalochori, and enjoyed browsing its unique local shops. Throughout the day, Kostas shared fascinating insights into the history and culture of Santorini, making every stop even more meaningful. He also took us to a beachfront local taverna for lunch, where the food, atmosphere, and service were exceptional. It was the perfect authentic Greek dining experience. The following day, we visited two beautiful wineries and enjoyed another amazing day. After the wine tour, Kostas took us to a stunning spot in Pyrgos for sunset cocktails and even secured us a table right at the edge with breathtaking views. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Kostas also took beautiful photos of our family on both tours, giving us wonderful memories to take home. He is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the best of Santorini. These tours made our vacation even more special, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. If you're traveling to Santorini and want an authentic, personalized experience, I highly recommend touring with Kostas. He will make your visit truly unforgettable.

Santorini highlights with Kostas a great local guide.
Kostas was a wonderful guide and photographer. We were fortunate as there weren’t any cruise ships the day of our tour. Kostas picked us up at our Airbnb in Pyrgos at 09:00 and enjoyed Oia before the crowds built up. Next stop was Megalochori then on to Akrotiri and the ancient ruins. We wrapped our day with a wine tasting at Venetsanos with wine and cheese. Kostas was the best and showed us the best of his homeland.

If Santorini is on your Itinerary Definitely See It With Kostas as Your Guide
From his arranged pickup at the Seajets pier to dropoff at our hotel in Oia, we had a wonderful tour with Kostas. We learned about the creation of Santorini, the caldera, and the history of Santorini to the present. Ever sensitive to the needs and desires of our eighteen and nineteen year olds, Kostas varied the tour so we visited Thira and recommendations with his texted guide down the village path from top to bottom. We saw the beautiful beaches and had lunch at a delicious restaurant on the Perivolos Beach Ta Sixiva. A wonderful day with a wonderful guide. If Santorini is on your itinerary, definitely see it with Kostas.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini cost?
+
Prices start at $88 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: Discover South of Santorini start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
