Wonderful curated experience
We hired Marco the night before and he was able to book two wineries for the next morning. We had all but given up on hiring a private driver and visiting a winery for a tour because we have not done this in advance. Marco was very knowledgeable and his English was perfect. He has so much to tell us about the region, the history, and about all the wines. He took us to two amazing boutique style wineries where the experience felt very private. He is simply amazing!

5 stars, incredible tour guide!
Marco was an amazing tour guide for our family, with incredible local knowledge of all areas in & around Florence and of wines & the winery regions. Marco booked us to enjoy a winery experience at Barberino Tavernelle which was spectacular & relaxing. We highly recommend Marco, 5 stars! ⭐️
Response from the operator: Hi! Thank you very much. It was a pleasure driving for you and taking care of your adorable family. And I really wish to meet you again in the future. My warmest regards, Marco

Wonderful Tuscan Day Trip with Marco
Marco was fantastic. Quick to respond to questions. Arrived on time. Flexible to our requests for a trip to Tuscany, winery and lunch. Family if 6 thoroughly enjoyed our time with Marco. He picked us up in Mercedes Van at our Airbnb in time as requested. We enjoyed a winery tour of our choice then a lunch stop along the route. Marco made a great recommendation for lunch stop in Panama and even made reservations for us. He was flexible! He made our day trip most enjoyable. Highly recommend Marco.

Excellent private driver, Florence Italy
It was our first time to Florence Italy. We booked a private driver, Marco Modesti, ahead of time, to tour parts of Tuscany. He was excellent!! He took us to San Gimignano, where we were able to walk around and explore the beautiful views of this medevil hill town. We had a private scheduled luncheon and wine tasting at Fattoria Sant’ Appiano Catina. After the luncheon, he drove us to different sites around the region with spectacular views overlooking Florence. He also stopped at Antonori winery, which is one of our favorites! We highly recommend Marco as a private driver and would definitely use him again if we have the opportunity to go back to Florence Italy!

Perfect Day of Wineries in Tuscany!!
Our day spent with Marco was the perfect way to end our honeymoon in Italy. We are big wine lovers and knew we wanted to check out as much as we could and this trip was absolutely perfect. Each stop was better than the next! Marco was very responsive and perfectly on time to pick us up. He is SO incredibly knowledgeable about Tuscany, wines and Italian culture in general. He brought us to 3 wonderul wineries and when we mentioned to him we were hoping to stop at small shop for some meats and cheeses to bring back to our hotel he knew exactly where to bring us and pointed out the best options the store had to offer us! It was the perfect day spent exporing Chianti with the perfect guide. We will absolutely use Marco when we return to Italy for more of his tours!!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan cost?
+
Prices start at $743 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: Chianti Region Tour by Minivan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
