Flexible, Personal, and Immersive Experience!
Banff Journey was recommended to us by a friend — and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our trip to Banff was somewhat last-minute, and we weren’t entirely sure how to make the most of our time there. Our friend suggested we simply reach out to William, explain our situation, and let them handle the rest — and that was the best advice we could have received. William contacted us within minutes and thoughtfully suggested a customized itinerary that included both a private tour with him and a group tour with Edward. From the start, everything felt seamless and well-organized. They personally accommodated pick-ups and drop-offs on both days, which made the experience even more convenient and stress-free. Since we visited during the winter season, some locations were weather-dependent. When certain spots weren’t accessible, they took us to alternative “hidden gems” — and true to the name, they were absolute gems. We found ourselves surrounded by untouched snow, with no other tourists in sight. It felt incredibly special and made for breathtaking photos and videos. William went above and beyond by capturing beautiful photos and filming moments throughout our tour. Initially, I assumed it was for promotional purposes, but to our surprise, he created a personalized video for us — such a thoughtful and unforgettable touch. Throughout the experience, both William and Edward shared historical insights about the places we visited and guided us to the best photo opportunities at each stop. We even made spontaneous stops whenever wildlife appeared nearby, which made the tour feel flexible, personal, and immersive. We’re already planning to return in the summer — largely because of the wonderful experience they created for us. I highly recommend Banff Journey to anyone who wants to truly make the most of their time in Banff.
Response from the operator: This truly made our day! Thank you so much for the incredibly kind and detailed review. We are so glad your friend pointed you our way! William and Edward both loved hosting you, and it was our pleasure to turn a last-minute trip into a seamless, stress-free adventure. We believe the 'hidden gems' are what make the Rockies truly special, and we're thrilled you got to experience that untouched winter magic all to yourselves. William had a blast putting that video together for you—we know those memories are priceless! We can’t wait to welcome you back this summer to show you how the landscape transforms. See you then!

Great tour
We booked a private tour and couldn’t have asked for a better driver/guide! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely wonderful. Our guide Steven was professional, friendly, and so knowledgeable—he made the day both fun and informative. He tailored the tour perfectly to our group, making sure we saw all the highlights while also adding in special stops we would have never discovered on our own. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and we always felt safe and well cared for.

It’s great to hear everything from the itinerary to the comfort of the vehicle met your expectations. We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you on another adventure in the future!

Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Calgary.
How much does Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group cost?
+
Prices start at $888 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Calgary usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Calgary is not rushed.
Is Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Calgary, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Calgary can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Calgary and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour Banff Yoho Jasper National Park for a Small Group start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Calgary within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Calgary?
+
On Outty we rank every Calgary experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Explore Banff National Park Premium Day Trip, Discover Banff National Park - Premium Day Trip, Day of Dinosaurs & Hoodoos from Calgary to Drumheller Badlands. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Calgary?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Calgary?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
