    About this experience

Zeginis Winery proposes a special gastronomic experience and moments of enjoyment of the wine, in a very welcoming and pleasant environment! We love to share our passion for the vine and the wine through a walk in our vineyards, a tour in the cave, and a wine tasting. Chrysanthi will be your guide during this experience, she is the enologist of the winery, and represents the second generation of the winery. She studied Chemistry in Greece and Enology & Viticulture in Bordeaux, France. After her studies and the practical experience in some of the most emblematic chateaux of France, she returned back full of ideas and knowledge to develop the familiar winery.

Great way to try some local wines grown in the same soil for decades.

Such a very nice and fun thing to do and learn about how this winery has been growing and making wine in this area for years. The wine is wonderful and we learned a lot from this. We did visit outside of the actual wine season but still a great thing to do that is very affordable and interesting. We bought several bottles to drink while we are here in Greece as well. I think it is better than larger wineries I’ve visited during to the personal touch.

    Good option for wine tasting

We had a lovely time at the winery tasting 5 wines. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines they produce. The vineyard is remote from the winery and there is a separate tour if you want to do this. We also made a friend with nuisa (?) the owners dog !

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience at Zeginis Winery! It was truly a pleasure to host you and share our wines, stories, and laughter together. I'm glad you enjoyed the tasting and our lovely Louisa — yes, that's her name! 😊 As you mentioned, our vineyards are located about 12 minutes away by car from the winery, and we offer a separate tour for those who wish to explore them in more depth. That’s why we propose two different experiences: one focused on the tasting at the winery, and one that includes both the vineyard tour and the tasting. I really enjoyed our conversations and the exchange of thoughts — thank you again for visiting and for the wonderful energy you brought with you. I hope to welcome you back sometime soon! Warm regards, Chrysanthi Zeginis Winery

Private Tour and Wine Tasting Experience

My partner and I went to a private tour and wine tasting at Zeginis. Chrysanthi was amazing, very intelligent, very knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. We had an amazing experience and bought wine after to bring back home with us! We would definitely recommend, extremely great value for money and hospitality and service was worth every cent.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience at Zeginis Winery. It was truly a pleasure to welcome you both and spend time together. I'm so glad you enjoyed it — I did too! I really appreciated our lovely exchange and conversations, and it was wonderful to see your interest in our wines and winery story. It always makes me happy when guests connect not only with the flavors but also with the spirit of our family-run vineyard. Thank you again for your warm presence, and I hope the wines you took home bring back beautiful memories of your visit. You're always welcome back — I would love to see you again in the future! Warmest regards, Chrysanthi Zeginis Winery

Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery cost?

    +

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour and Tasting at Zeginis Winery start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
