    Amazing and Relaxing!!

Sooo amazing and relaxing. Me and my friends went for the sunset and it was beautiful. We were offered Rose and a yummy snack (it was so good). We were allowed to bring some of our own glasses of white wine that the captain had a cooler for us to put in. Super cool experience- captain was so so nice and kind.

    Exceptional day sailing

Started off with a lovely wine, and delicious handmade hors d'oeuvres! Captain Matthew was funny and hospitable, and obviously knew exactly what he was doing. The boat was clean and gorgeous.

The Perfect Santa Monica Sunset Experience

This experience was the perfect ending to our couples weekend in Santa Monica and truly the cherry on top of our trip! I cannot recommend it enough. It was fun, relaxing, and simply beautiful to experience the area from the water. Combining my love of the water with the ocean, the sunset, and my favorite person to spend time with made it absolutely perfect. Matthew, our captain, made the evening even better. He was so easy to talk with, shared great information, and even let me help a little, which made it extra fun. It was such a special evening, and now I just need to turn my photos into a painting! Thank you, Matthew!

    Great escape!

We sailed with Matthew on a 3 hour afternoon trip. We went with our daughter and her friends from school, while my wife and I were out for a visit .The trip was very relaxing, with the occasional dolphin pod appearing alongside the boat. When the fog made a short appearance, Mathew was quick to gather blankets for the girls lounging around bow. A bottle of wine and small tray of appetizers were a nice touch. Matthew was a pleasure to talk with on so many different topics. All in all we would highly recommend this trip.

Private Therapy Sailing Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Monica.

How much does Private Therapy Sailing Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Monica usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Therapy Sailing Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Monica is not rushed.

Is Private Therapy Sailing Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Santa Monica, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Therapy Sailing Adventure?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Therapy Sailing Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Therapy Sailing Adventure?

    +

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Monica can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Monica and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Therapy Sailing Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Monica within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santa Monica?

    +

Santa Monica is where most LA coast tours start: beach bike and e-bike rides to Venice, surf lessons, food walks on Third Street and open-top runs up Pacific Coast Highway. On Outty we rank every Santa Monica experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Los Angeles Guided City Tour with 4 Stops and Free Time, Half Day Best of Los Angeles City Tour from Santa Monica, Hollywood, Beverly Hills & Celebrity Homes Tour by Open Air Bus. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santa Monica?

    +

March to May and September to November, dodging the June marine layer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santa Monica?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
