Onece in lifetime taj mahal visit

Tak Mahal was stunning see in person and my guide Alka was very knowledgeable about the entire city. The lunch buffet option at the Marriott was also delicious, would recommend this experience.

Excellent for a solo/or small group travelers

Booked this as part of a solo trip to India. Was very impressed with the pick-up from the Maidens Hotel - driver Rajeev was very friendly and had plenty of bottled water in the car and made for a comfortable drive to Agra. I selected the 5 star hotel option for the overnight stay - and it did not disappoint. The Trident Hotel was absolutely wonderful and lovely. After arriving, there was time for lunch and a quick rest before the afternoon tour began with Rajeev as the driver and Alka as my guide. Alka navigated the crowds and walks at the fort very easily and provided a wonderful opportunity for photos, and a stunning first view of the Taj Mahal. Then we visited a park across the river from the Taj Mahal with a wonderful view of the monument. After the park we made a visit to a shop where, admittedly, at first I felt a little 'forced' into buying something - but I did find something that suited my taste and style and the size of my suitcase and now that I am home, it is a great decoration and a fond memory of this trip. I got back to the Trident Hotel with plenty of time to enjoy the dinner buffet and get rest before the 5am wake-up the next morning and was quickly taken to the main event - the Taj Mahal. (Also, I recommend take advantage of the rest time as the next day is a long one!) Rajeev and Alka navigated the entrance swiftly and soon I was at the base of the Taj Mahal - with Alka providing a walking tour of the grounds and the memorial with wonderful narration. She is also good at finding the right angles and photographs for fantastic pictures. After the Taj Mahal tour I chose the option to continue to see another fort, Fatehpur Sikri -- there was time to go back to the hotel for some breakfast and then a quick break/shower up before going to Fatehpur Sikri. I will note - Fatehpur is not as shaded as the fort in Agra, so be prepared to wear comfortable shoes and very light clothing for this one. It is also very dusty, too. Alka was not on this tour but another tour guide met us there and provided a nice tour and narration of the fort. Rajeev again had plenty of bottled water in the car, which was nice, as the voyage to Fatehpur adds 1 hour back to Delhi. I arrived back in Delhi in the mid-afternoon of day 2 very very tired but very content with my trip and journey and am very happy with booking this tour. Things to know - * I would recommend 10,000 INR at least for tips, gratuities, and other odds and ends * While Rajeev did provide plenty of bottled water, I was a solo traveler, and would recommend you buy more for yourselves if you are a small group, particularly for Fatehpur, which lacks a lot of shade, and the trip home after. * A light snack in the car of some peanuts would be recommended - not a lot of places to stop along the way. * While the Maidens Hotel and Trident Hotel both served a magnificent breakfast, plan accordingly, not a lot of restrooms along the way.

Best tour in all of India! Thank you Suraj and Rajeev!

This was by far the best tour we experienced during our two weeks in India. Suraj’s knowledge of Agra is impeccable, and he is highly respected in the local tourism community. We were pleasantly surprised at how expertly he guided us through less crowded paths, the quickest entrances, and the best photo spots — even taking beautiful photos for us himself! Beyond his expertise, Suraj was genuinely fun to be around, patient, and an inspiring family man whose stories we loved hearing. A special thanks also to Rajeev, our wonderful driver. His pickup was always punctual, car was comfortable, and he made sure we had plenty of clean rest stops during the long drive, which made the journey so much easier. Thanks to Suraj and Rajeev, our visit to Agra became a memory we will cherish forever. If you’re considering booking, don’t hesitate — request Suraj. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll have photos that are better than professional shots! ⸻ Would you like a second version that’s even a little more enthusiastic or friendly in tone (some people prefer that for Viator!)?

Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Taj Mahal Agra Overnight Tour from Delhi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
