What you get

    About this experience

Have a magical evening together This is the ultimate paniolo experience, and we’re confident you’ll have a special and unforgettable evening. You set off on your horseback ride in the cooler portion of the day and travel under sunset skies on your way to our signature mountain lookout point. Your guide will share stories about the ranch and the surrounding areas along the way and point out some of the sights, including peacefully grazing cattle, ocean views, and maybe even wild pigs! Once at the lookout, you’ll enjoy a fresh, locally catered meal, kept warm for you by the campfire. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view as you dine in a quiet, private setting. If you’d like, you can even roast some marshmallows and chat around the fire before heading back down. When it’s time to saddle up again, you’ll be riding home in the light of dusk. It’s a special way to experience Oahu’s North Shore and the perfect addition to your Hawaiian adventure.

    a MUST visit!!

Absolutely was the best experience! 100/10 would recommend!! The dinner was amazing and the views were beautiful. You can see how well taken care of and how loved all of the animals are by everyone who works here! Brielle was our guide and was super knowledgeable of the ranch and the horses. She made the experience so much fun as well as Buckles & Rondo, I will definitely be back the next time I visit Hawaii!!

Response from the operator: Mahalo nui for the great rating and kind review! We are always striving for a 100/10 experience and are delighted to hear we achieved it with your family! We hope you will visit again soon!

We had such a great time! Everything was super fun and well put together. Devin & Mia were really friendly and made the whole experience even better. The horses we had, Tex, Mowgli, Mochi, Tonto, and Ikaika were amazing too! Definitely worth it and would recommend it to anyone looking for something fun to do. Would 100% do it again!

Response from the operator: We are so happy you enjoyed your visit to the ranch. Devin & Mia are pretty awesome gals. Tex, Mowgli, Mochi, Tonto, and Ikaika are some of the best horses out there! We can't wait to see y'all again. Mahalo!

    Sunset horseback riding and dinner

Romantic sunset picnic dinner with my Partner and a horseback ride. My Girlfriend was more than impressed and super happy that I booked this for her. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend. The smores set and open fire pit was an unexpected bonus. 👍🏽

Response from the operator: You can never go wrong with s’mores and a campfire. We’re happy to hear you had a great time, Mahalo!

    Amazing ride

That it is amazing and the guides are top tier. Our guide Alanna was a complete sweetheart, who was full of amazing information about the history of the ranch, the island, and all of Hawaii. If we ever comeback to Hawaii we will definitely be making a stop here again. And will ask for Alanna again.

Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride cost?

    +

Prices start at $312 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Sunset Dinner Horseback Ride start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
