Hands down best photo walk you can get
I have done many photo tours, but this is the only one that I’d absolutely recommend over and over again to everyone. First of all, Adrien is probably one of the nicest person you could meet. His warmth sharing his love for photography is amazing, and due to this the entire experience is a total treat. When most photo tours just take you places, he actually takes the time to chat with you over a coffee to share his experience and tips. It’s not a generic talk either, he truly tailors it for you so it’s an incredibly valuable conversation with someone competent and passionate about photography. In a world of competitive gate-keeping photographers, he’s a gem of generosity. As someone who has worked as a professional photographer I consider myself experienced, but I have learnt so much that morning, more than I have in any other photography workshop or tours before actually. Also side note for Fujifilm cameras users he’s really versed in these which was awesome to get me unstuck with the settings. The walk itself was fabulous, Saigon’s a total photographer dream and actually seeing him interact with the locals is very inspiring. Beyond the morning of the walk, the experience has set me on the right track to help improve my street photography practice on the long run. I feel very privileged to have had someone so talented share his time for such a wholesome experience. Once again, I can’t recommend enough!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your nice words Marie, it truly means a lot to me! I had such a great time exploring the city with you and sharing my passion for street photography. So glad it inspired you 😊 Hope our paths will cross again soon in Hanoi or Saigon, until then keep shooting 📷

a must for photography lovers
Absolutely fantastic tour. I met Adrien in a coffee shop in the center perfectly on time. He showed me very interesting locations (markets without tourists, small alleys, old houses & temples) which I would never ever found on my own. Also he gave me some really helpful tips on street photography. Unfortunately he was fully booked already for the rest of the week ... I would have booked another tour .... Thanks for a great morning!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your nice words, Roland, it means a lot! I had a great time exploring one of my favorite areas in town with you, and I'm really happy if you learnt a few street photography tips :) All the best and hope to see you again in Saigon soon!

An experience not to be missed
If you are looking for a way to experience Saigon then don’t hesitate to book one of Adrien’s photography experiences. Not only do you get Adrien’s expert guidance around the city but you’ll capture sights most tourist wouldn’t dream of. His friendly nature with locals helps drop any fears about standing out and you can focus on capturing your images. His passion for photography and the city is evident and he’s generous enough to share these hidden gems
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your nice words Ross, it means a lot! I had a great time exploring Saigon in your company and I'm very happy you could discover some spots out of the tourist path. Wishing you all the best in your photography journey and hope to see you again in Saigon soon! And great photos by the way :)

An amazing photo experience with Adrien in Ho Chi Minh
We took part in a street photography workshop with Adrien and it was a fantastic experience! Adrien was very kind, approachable, and passionate — he shared lots of useful tips to help us improve our photos and better understand this style of photography. He picked us up early in the morning directly from our hotel, so we could take advantage of the beautiful early light for some really atmospheric shots. Later, we visited the local market, where we had the chance to photograph local people in an authentic and respectful way. Adrien was also very helpful after the workshop, taking the time to review our photos and give us further advice. I absolutely recommend this experience, and if I return to Ho Chi Minh City, I’ll definitely contact him again for another photo session!
Response from the operator: Dear Alice, thank you so much for your nice words, it means the world to me. It was so nice meeting you & Ile, it felt like exploring Saigon with old friends :) All the best and hope to see you again in Saigon soon!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.
How much does Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.
Is Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Sunrise Photography Tour - Down in Chinatown start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
