    They cheat you!!

Do not trust them¡!!! They cheat you. You book a tour and at the appropriate time nobody shows up. You wait half an hour and nothing happens. Do not pay in advance, you don't get your money back!!!!

Response from the operator: Dear Sir, We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. Upon receiving your booking, we attempted to contact you 2 days before on the phone number provided; however, it was not reachable and was also unavailable on WhatsApp. We additionally tried reaching you through Tripadvisor messages but unfortunately did not receive any response. We also contacted the Tripadvisor support team to check if they could assist us with an alternate contact number, however we did not receive any positive response from their end either. Upon your arrival at the meeting point, our staff attended to you and was in the process of arranging the transfer boat. In Mumbai, the sailboat is not directly accessible from the jetty, and guests are required to take a small transfer boat to reach the sailboat. Once the transfer boat arrived, our team member came out to receive you, however unfortunately you were not available at the location. The transfer boat and the captain were waiting for you as well. We again tried reaching you via calls and Tripadvisor messages, however we did not receive any response. We truly regret the experience and would love the opportunity to host you again for another sailing experience. Please let us know your availability, and we would be happy to arrange the same for you.

    Amazing experience

Celebrated my 50th bday on Lagoon 560. The whole experience was amazing. All the friends were raving about it. They loved that it was so tranquil and the gentle lapping motion of the waves was so soothing. The yacht is spacious so for 22 of us it meant that we could move around and dance freely. The Bluetooth speakers were blasting music and we paired our devices so enjoyed our kind of music. We carried our own food. But people just grabbed a few bites to fill their stomach. No one was really interested in the food. All wanted to enjoy the various vantage points of the yacht. The catamaran style with its nets was a popular spot to lie down and look up at the sky. Vivek from Oyster, was looking after everything for us. From the time of booking till he waved us off at Jetty 5, he was with us. Had asked him to put fairy lights across the yacht. They looked so pretty in the night. Believe me 2 hrs just went by flying. They also have 3 hrs packages. Which would be a very good idea.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! Your kind words mean the world to our team, and we're thrilled to know you had a memorable time with us. We look forward to welcoming you onboard again soon! Rare moments of peace and nature in Mumbai

Sunset sail was a lovely and peaceful experience. Comfort and safety was well taken care of. Initially was skeptical that sea might be dirty/crowded but wasnt either.

Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India cost?

    +

Prices start at $136 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 88 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India?

    +

Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Sunrise or Sunset Sail from Gateway of India start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
