Complete Rio City Tour and Highlights With Professional and Energetic Guides
Don't look any further; you must book this Rio city tour (including Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf) with Florencios and use them for all of your travel needs in Rio. We traveled to Rio as a family of four with 2 older teens. My wife and I have traveled internationally for over 30 years. Florencios is the best tour company we have ever used. Damiana (owner) and Ana Julia (guide) are awesome. (See my separate review on their Little Africa tour.) We also booked Florencios for all of our airport transfers (which included a "fun tour" upon our arrival to Rio where Damiana and Ana walked with us from our hotel to the Sunday "hippie market" in Ipanema with stops at nearby spots). All of these services were scheduled prior to our arrival. Damiana was highly responsive via What's App prior to and during our visit to Rio. Damiana and Ana are professional, engaging, wonderful, helpful, and sweet people and they take care of you like family. Both are proud to share their city, culture and background with you and want you to feel at home. Given that we wanted to learn all we could about Afro-Brazilian culture and history, they were sure to bring these aspects to the forefront of our experience in Rio -- on the Little Africa tour as well as during all of our other interactions with them. This allowed us to better understand Rio as a whole rather than in parts. This was a private tour so it was customizable. We didn’t feel rushed. There was a good mix of time in the van and walking. Damiana and Ana took pictures of our family at all places so that we could capture the memories. Damiana and Ana are highly informative and engaging. Also, you get what you pay for. We found the price of the private tour very reasonable plus Damiana and Ana are extremely knowledgeable about Rio and Afro-Brazilian history. They take this seriously and are so energetic and passionate that you feel the very essence of this valuable history and culture. During the tour, Damiana and Ana took us to a vegetarian restaurant (given our dietary restrictions which we had previously communicated to her). We were touched by the fact that they had already "checked out" the restaurant beforehand to make sure it was clean and would satisfy our dietary requirements. They wanted to be sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal and the tour overall. The food was delicious and we went back another time on our trip. Florencios is a great company. I highly recommend this company and this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Gerald Thomass, for your wonderful review of our services at Florencios! We are truly honored to have been part of your family's journey in Rio de Janeiro. Your kind words about our tours, our team, and the Afro-Brazilian cultural experiences mean the world to us. We are delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed the Little Africa tour, the city tour, and all the personalized services we provided. Our goal is always to make our guests feel at home and to share the rich, dynamic history of Afro-Brazilian culture. We are thrilled that Ana Julia's passion and knowledge shone through during your tours, making your experience informative and engaging. It's wonderful to know that the visits to the museums, memorials, and other cultural landmarks left a lasting impression on you. Your appreciation of our responsiveness and the personalized touches, like ensuring vegetarian options for your meals, underscores our commitment to going above and beyond for our guests. Thank you for recommending Florencios and for recognizing the value of the experiences we offer. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Rio shortly! Florencios: Connecting Cultures, Creating Memories. Warm regards, Damiana and the Florencios Team.

The BEST way to see Rio!
Damiana was amazing! A native Brazilian friend found Florencios through another friend. Best marketing is word of mouth and we were very pleased. We were only in Rio for one day but we're able to very efficiently see some of the great things the city offers. 10/10. 5 stars all the way. Could not recommend the experience more. Book now!
Response from the operator: Dear 752cja, We are absolutely delighted to read your enthusiastic review! Thank you for choosing Florencios to explore Rio de Janeiro and for sharing your experience. Hearing that Damiana provided an amazing tour and that you found us through word-of-mouth is incredibly rewarding. We're thrilled that we could make your one day in Rio so memorable and efficient, allowing you to experience the best of what our beautiful city has to offer. Your kind words and recommendation mean the world to us. We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you back for more adventures in the future. Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h) cost?
+
Prices start at $195 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h) take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h) suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Sugarloaf Mountain + Rio Highlights: Tickets & Lunch (6h) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Favela Tour Rio de Janeiro - Vidigal Walking Tour by Russo Guide, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
