The Old Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Prague is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and one of the most important Jewish historical monuments in Prague. It served its purpose from the first half of 15th century until 1786, and is full of fantastic stones and grave houses of important historical figures. Among the 12000 stones here, is the one marking the grave of the legendary Renaissance-era Rabbi Low.

The Pinkas Synagogue is the second oldest surviving synagogue in Prague. Its origins are connected with the Horowitz family, a renowned Jewish family in Prague. There is also an exhibit of childrens' drawings created under the supervision of the famous art teacher of Terezin Camp, Friedl Dicker-Brandeis.

Wonderful tour guide
Amalka was exactly what my family was hoping for when we booked with Insight. She had deep knowledge of the Jewish Quarter and Jewish life in Prague - both historical and personal. We enjoyed talking with her and learning from her and could have spent much more time.

Perfect
Amalka did the best job anyone could imagine a guide doing. And we were very happy they could move our tour (on their own initiative) to 3 PM instead of 2 PM as our train from Dresden arrived 1.30 PM and this way it was much less stressful and more relaxing.
