Most of the attractions we were supposed to see were closed by the time the tour started. The guide was boring and his English was not good.

Recommended tour

The tour (around 2 hours by a private car) was well worth the money and had a nice atmosphere. It was a private tour only consisting of us. The tour guide gave us a very good insight into the history of Bulgaria, and Sofia in particular. We really enjoyed both the tour of Sofia city centre and the cultural evening at a Bulgarian restaurant. I would particularly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to enjoy a small, private tour with their own guide, at their own pace.

Boo Hoo

We booked with trip advisor or Viator. We missed the night because Turkish Airline was extremely late in getting us to Sofia at 10:30. Pm. . We lost all the way around. I was not happy

Way overpriced and underwhelming

I was very disappointed in this tour but the guide was great. She was lovely and shared great knowledge and history. The information given was misleading and for the price we paid, this tour seemed exceedingly lacking. First, it was a walking tour, no driver. So, it should be written as such. When we got to the first place on the tour, on the metro, it was closing in a few minutes. We barely saw the inside before they kicked us out because it was closing. All the other places were closed by the time we arrived and we didn’t make it to all mentioned sights on the tour. We had to grab a taxi to make it to the restaurant on time. The restaurant was fine, but the food was not worth the price either. The dancing was fun and neat to see. After the performance it turns into a dance party of modern dance songs. Overall, you see the outside of buildings, so it should not read admission is included as there are no admissions. Essentially it was WAY OVERPRICED and very under delivered.

We actually started the tour an hour earlier than initially scheduled, at 6:00 PM, hoping to maximize our time at each location. Our guide opted for public transport to offer flexibility and navigate the city efficiently. We aim to offer an authentic taste of Bulgaria, and the meal provided was indeed traditional Bulgarian cuisine, the kind that might be harder to find in many other places. Great experience! Fantastic evening!

We really enjoyed it. Ate really well traditional, had wine and water, had all the courses could not eat all. The program was beautiful. Very enjoyable.
