Once and never again
Pick-up and return trip to the hotel 1a, but that's all there was in terms of positives. Our guide joined us in the city and sent his little brother off with us after the first spot. 5 words of English, otherwise we were just led from display board to display board. Having our hands out for money at every spot was very unusual for us. But the worst part was the almost pushy sales "talk" at the end in the tea and spice shop. At the next table, another group was experiencing the same thing, the (Polish?) family had to become quite aggressive in order not to buy anything. Absolutely unacceptable for the price.

Very Disappointing Tour. Not as described.
The day before the tour, we were asked to pay a 20 euro supplement for a private tour. This was what we had already paid for and so we questioned this. Pick-up and taxi was good but the guide was appalling, he did not know the itinerary and could only speak English very poorly. When we corrected or questioned words he spoke in German or looked very annoyed. He took us to see a Mosque which had no historical significance. When we asked to see a larger older Mosque that we passed he told us they were all the same. We insisted we went to look, much to his annoyance. When we asked to see the hotel, which is on the itinerary he questioned why we wanted to go and raised his eyes to heaven. He did not seem to know it was on the itinerary. He took us there but did not take us inside. We had no access to wi fi at the time and so it was difficult to check what was included on the tour, We were very disappointed not to have seen the inside when we realised this should have been included. We got the impression that the guide did not know the itinerary, he gave us no information about the buildings or history as we walked around, other than a few dates. We asked lots of questions but dates were the usual response. The shopping part of the tour was a walk down a street with some very tatty shops.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We deeply regret the confusion regarding the supplement fee and the issues you faced with the guide. A professional, knowledgeable guide is essential, and we will address this matter to ensure all itineraries are followed and delivered with respect and expertise. We also apologize for the missed stops and lack of historical insights during the tour. Your feedback helps us improve, and we are taking steps to ensure clearer communication and better experiences for future guests.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marsa Alam.
How much does Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping cost?
+
Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marsa Alam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marsa Alam is not rushed.
Is Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marsa Alam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marsa Alam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marsa Alam and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Sightseeing Tour Visit in El Quseir City with Shopping start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marsa Alam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marsa Alam?
+
On Outty we rank every Marsa Alam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Luxor Day Trip from Marsa alam (Private), Private Day Trip to Luxor from Marsa Alam and Valley of the Kings, Over Day Tour From Marsa Alam to Luxor. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marsa Alam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marsa Alam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
