Good day at an interesting village
Very good day out to a really interesting village/area of the country. Jamal was a great driver who also provided plenty of history and commentary as we were driving. The boat tour is really fun and it's a beautiful town/lake. My only comment would be you need an extra hour there if you miss the 10:30 boat (which we did by like a minute). There isn't enough time then to walk into town to see the shops and stuff and still get back for the 11:30 boat, and then still get some food before heading back. So we didn't see the actual village except from the boat, and we would have liked to have had more time there. So if you miss the first boat tell the driver you expect an hour at the end to walk around.

Stunning scenery out of a movie
This tour was awesome! Gavin was a great tour guide! He was communicative and professional. I recommend this tour over a public one because it saves lots of time in your day and was comfortable. We had a nice ride there with water and phone chargers and the scenic views were unbelievable!
Response from the operator: Dear Natalie, Thank you for your review. I am happy that you enjoyed your tour and that you are satisfied about our driver/host.

Geithroon was...
Geithroon was beautiful.my problem is the tour itself.i paid almost 500 euros for the tour. The driver picked me up at 10. We reached at 11.30. From the moment we arrived, he kept hurrying me up. Didn't really allow me to look around the village. The canal cruise also was badly done. The guide didn't know English even tho I had specified an English speaking one. He was on his phone the entire time. Even tho the village was beautiful, couldn't really enjoy it. Was disappointing. Wasn't worth the money.
Response from the operator: Dear Jayshree, Thank you for your review. I have to note that the price of the tour is € 450,- for in total 6 hours. I was the driver that day and we started 10-15 minutes later because you was not ready at 10:00 AM. I told you that the drive was a little bit more than 1 hour and that you will have approx 3.5 hours in Giethoorn. You had 45 minutes for your selve to explore this beautiful village before you took the canal cruise (the guided canal cruise was left 5 minutes before we arrived). It was very quiet there with not so many tourists so there was no guided boat available but for you they made a exception to drive the big boat only for you to do the guided canal cruise. After the tour I welcomed you at the boat and you did not tell me that you didn't enjoyed the canal cruise. If you told me I could discuss with the driver of the boat and could solve this issue... I told you that we had approx.1 hour for a lunch or for a further explore of the village. You chose for a lunch and I brought you to the restaurant you preferred. The lunch took almost 1.5 hours but it was fine for me and I didn't charge you anything for the over time. After the tour I dropped you off at your hotel and ask you if you enjoyed the tour. You let me know that you enjoyed the tour and gave me a tip as well. So for me this review is a little bit of a surprise. Thank you and I looking forward to meet you when the Keukenhof Gardens are open next year.

+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
