Outstanding tour of the east French Riviera highlights

Jérôme was an incredible guide. We let him fill our day-long agenda & he delivered an incredible experience. From Monaco to Nice to Eze and everything in between, we received cultural and historical context that would have been difficult to achieve alone. His communication was outstanding and his English is perfect. We felt like we received the authenticity of having a local friend showing us around with the insight of a professional guide.

Excellent Tour Itinerary and Jerome Provides a Perfect Experience

We highly recommend this tour with Jerome. We hit all the many areas of interest along the French Riviera, with beautiful views along the winding roads, stops for time to wander key areas, photo and lookout stops along the way with no or few people around, to admire and capture the beauty of the landscapes and the sea. Jerome is a true professional making us feel at home with him and treated us like family. Very attentive and intuitive. Anything we needed he handled. Very accommodating to adjust the route or the timing to ensure our preferences were accommodated. He gave us the true locals treatment and it felt more like a day of traveling with a family member to check out a new area than a tour. Always offering to take our group's picture, offering water, offering lunch suggestions and anything else we needed. Can't recommend Jerome and this tour any more highly.

Villefranche-sur-Mer

This is a great excursion. You get to visit beautiful cities in France and Monaco. Our tour guide Jerome was the absolute BEST! He was so knowledgeable and kind. Well respected by the locals!!! If you are able, definitely recommend this tour!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review Stacey! It was truly a pleasure spending the day with your family and showing you some of the most beautiful corners of the French Riviera and Monaco. Your kind words mean a lot to me, especially knowing that you enjoyed both the places we visited and the experience we shared. I'm especially touched by your comments about the warm welcome from the locals. Having grown up here, it's always a joy to introduce my guests not only to the famous highlights, but also to the authentic spirit of the Riviera. Thank you again for your recommendation. I hope our paths cross again one day, whether back on the French Riviera or elsewhere in the world! Warmest wishes, Jérôme

Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco cost?

+

Prices start at $780 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private shore excursion: Villefranche or Nice to Eze and Monaco start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

+

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
