Worth the money and time

Our guide was Giulia Tamai and she was excellent!! She had many stories and antidotes about the market and Venice. The tour was not rushed and my husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. I would recommend this tour for anyone who would like to know more about the Rialto market and Venice.

Response from the operator: Dear Client, Thank you for your positive feedback about the Venice tour with Giulia - the tour features less touristy parts of Venice and is definitely recommended if you wish to explore the secret off-the-beaten-track corners of our unique city. I have already forwarded your comments to Giulia - we appreciate your comments and we hope to meet you again on our tours! Kind regards, Aleksandra Sales Dept

The perfect way to explore a different side of Venice!

We just had one day in Venice so this was the perfect way to see more than just the main tourist attractions. Christina is really passionate about her city (rightly so!) and gave us an insight into it's history and what it's like to live there taking us to parts of Venice we would never have discovered on our own. With food, wine, a gondola ride and a spectacular view to top it off we couldn't have asked for more thank you Monica and Christina! :)

Response from the operator: Dear Erin Thank you for your positive feedback - I am very pleased you enjoyed your Rialto market and hidden Venice tour including cicchetti and wine. It is certainly a tour that will show you a different less touristy side of Venice and explore the secrect corners of the city that only the locals know about. Thank you for appreciating Cristina's dedication and knowledge, I am sure she will be very pleased to read your comments. Thank you for joining our tour! Kind regards, Aleksandra Sales Dept

Away from Busy San Marco Square

We really enjoyed four hours away from the bustle of St. Mark's Square! We traveled many small streets to learn more history and how Venetians live today. Our guide was Cristina Pigozzo and she was absolutely fabulous- she is a Venetian, proud of her city, enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable.

Response from the operator: Dear Client, Thank you for the 5-star review - we will certainly forward your comments to Cristina. Thank you for touring with us! Kind regards, Aleksandra Sales Dept

    An Insider's tour

Our Guide, Cristina, was excellent, with a nice balance of history and insider tips ("no Venetian ever buys this kind of spice, rather they ket this other"). A good length for a hot day, with a nice finish of wine and cicchetti.

Response from the operator: Dear Brian, Thank you for your positive feedback about our Rialto Market and Hidden Venice tour with cicchetti and wine. We are very happy you enjoyed exploring the less touristy parts of Venice with Cristina. It's certainly worth it to explore a city with local guides providing not only historical facts but also useful tips that only locals may know. Thank you for touring with us! Kind regards, Aleksandra Sales Dept

This ended up being a private tour as...

This ended up being a private tour as our group of 4 were the only ones. The guide was really informative and entertaining. We loved the market place. The glass of wine and selection of 2 nibbles each at the end was a nice finish to tour.

Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting cost?

    +

Prices start at $262 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 220 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting?

    +

Around 77 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Secret Venice Tour; Rialto Market, San Polo & Food and Wine tasting start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
