It was a Blast!

This was the highlight of my trip to Rome, and I highly recommend this as one of the first things one does when they get to Rome. It was a blast ( to me ). You should be able to keep your balance and not be intimidated about being in traffic. I had complete condidence in Simone, who was a great driver and I had a lot of fun exploring Rome with him. He was so nice. If you want to start off your trip with a little excitement and adventure, I highly recommend this excursion!

Response from the operator: I'm so happy to know you had a great day, i remember your enthusiasm while scooting around downtown, that's the attitude i love in travellers :-) I hope you can enjoy more and more adventures !!! grazie mille

Absolutely brilliant way to get an insight into the magnificence of Rome

I spent the most fun time ever, with Simi on his scooter discovering all sorts of hidden gems as well as the showstoppers of Rome. It was so great to get a real understanding of the layout of the city and it's history. Simi was brilliant at pointing out key sights, with history thrown in and a real passion and knowledge of this amazing city. He was very keen to make it a special experience and it really was a trip of a lifetime for me - complete with lots of fantastic photo opportunities and the very best cappuccino in Rome! As a passenger, I felt totally relaxed and was able to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Rome, travelling like a true local.

Response from the operator: Julia enthusiasm was contagious , happy and smiley while looking at my city with so much curiosity ! We had a very nice day roaming in the little streets of downtown and showing some of the best places in Rome ! I'm happy to know you had a great experience and your smile while going around made my day !!! Thank you Julia !!

greatest day trip from rome

Simi was amazing!! He picked us up at the train station and brought us to civiti and Orvieto.. what an amazing experience traveling from Rome and having private transfer to these locations. There's so much to see along the way as well. I would definitely recommend this for anybody looking for a day trip from Rome. Simi was not rushed, and we got to spend the time at our leisure going and checking out the things we wanted to see. He was so good we took him for lunch and he brought us to a magnificent restaurant. Such a fantastic guy, and such a great day! I wish I could give six stars

Response from the operator: thank you , i really appreciate your words and makes me so happy to know that your day was amazing ! it was a beautiful day spent with beautiful people , i felt like meeting old friends, thank you Mike !

Unforgettable experience

During my last visit in Rome I booked a tour. In 3-4 hours Simone showed me all the highlights and even some of the best hidden gems. He’s super knowledgeable about Rome’s history and he tells it in a very interesting way! I felt very safe in the traffic on the back of the motorbike. It was definitely the highlight of my visit and I can recommend it to everyone, especially if you only have little time to spend in Rome. Last but not least, I am so grateful for all the pictures he’s taken of me and the city. Grazie mille!

Response from the operator: Safety is always our priority , show you the best and let you enjoy the ride is our mission! It's always a nice feeling to read how much you enjoy this and that you feel it special! Thank you Esmee, wish you all the best , grazie !!!

Private Scooter Tour in Rome: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Private Scooter Tour in Rome cost?

+

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Scooter Tour in Rome take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Private Scooter Tour in Rome worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Scooter Tour in Rome?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Scooter Tour in Rome suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Scooter Tour in Rome?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Scooter Tour in Rome start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
