Best tour ever
Fantastic tour. Mark was the best tour guide telling stories about the area and the famous people associated with this city. He put me at ease from the second I got in the car. Very laid back and great conversationalist. My only regret is that I didn’t take the full day tour with him. I think it would have been much more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour it was the best money I spent all week.
Response from the operator: Thanks a million for your incredible review of our company, along with the shout-out for Mark. It truly is money well-spent. Group tours are everywhere throughout our city. Only a private tour can be customized for individuals with specific interests...and our SUV's give us access to all areas throughout Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Vans and buses do not share this same opportunity. Most visitors get one opportunity to see a city. We are so happy that you chose us and that we did not disappoint. - JM

Frank is the best!
Frank was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. He stopped when we wanted to and even went out of his way to drop us off at a beach afterwards. I highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review here on Viator and for sharing your 5-star experience with the world. Our scandals and crime scenes tour of Hollywood and Beverly is certainly one of our most popular tours, and unfortunately, new material happens on a weekly basis. It's the news that grabs international headlines, and we're on top of it all! - JM

Mark was an amazing tour guide. He really tailored the tour to our specific interests and shared so many interesting facts and stories with us. A true high point of our LA vacation.

Mitch is the best!
Mitch was absolutely amazing. He tailored the tour to my personal interests and we got to explore multiple cemetaries. We even discovered new things together! He shared some truly fascinating stories and had a great sense of humor. I saw parts of the city I'd never seen before and learned not only the history, but all the fun gory stuff you wouldn't hear on an average ghost tour. I had a blast.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review of your experience. We love Mitch too!

Response from the operator: Awesome! Thanks Tiffany.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.
How much does Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills cost?
+
Prices start at $123 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.
Is Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Scandals and Ghost Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?
+
Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Los Angeles Original 90-Minute Walking Tour to The Hollywood Sign. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?
+
March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Angeles?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
