Perfect Santorini Wine and cooking tour
We enjoy the entire thing it would be hard to point out one that was especially fabulous. The first winery was in a cave, family owned and very unique. The second was at the biggest winery and we sat at and had the most impressive view of the beautiful scenery. It looked out over the Caldera. The last was at the cooking class. I would say that our guide, Penny, was one of the best I’ve had in anytime anywhere. First her knowledge and education is well beyond what I would ordinary expect with it to guide. We learned more in the first half hour about the wines and why the Santorini Vineyards are so different than we’ve seen anywhere else in the world. More than I could’ve hoped for. George, our driver was kind and moreover, he made sure that the van was cooled down before we got in, which was much appreciated. Lastly, the chef at our cooking class was exceptional very interesting expressive and we will absolutely use his recipes. Back to Penny, I got a little hot and was overexerted at the cooking class. She immediately understood expedited everything, doing whatever she could to meet me feel more comfortable and the rest of the tour was finished beautifully. I would highly recommend this tour (and I don’t do reviews usually.)

Santorini Wine and Food!
My wife and I loved this experience from start to finish. Stratos was our guide, and I would highly recommend anyone request him if possible. He was very knowledgeable and professional the entire time. He provides background knowledge on the island and wines of Santorini. Ask him anything and he will be able to answer it. Between experiencing the wineries and the cooking class this experience cannot be beat. Well worth the money and I highly recommend this to anyone going to Santorini for a few days.

Perfect day of wine tasting and cooking some authentic Greek food!
Amazing time! Highly recommend this cooking class and wine tour. Our guide Elena was perfect. She was very knowledgeable about the island and also the wines we tasted. This made our trip to Santorini perfect; highly suggest it!!!

Great value and great people.
Everyone in our group of 6 people would definitely recommend. First winery: 5 wines, cheeses. Second: 5 wines, meat, cheese, and fruit. Third: Lunch was more of a participatory demonstration than a full class itself, which was fine because of the awful plastic knives they give you. Of course, you’ve already had 10 wines by that point, so maybe not the worst idea. They pick you up, drop you off, and cart you around everywhere in between. What really made it was the people. Our guide Katarina was so much fun - personable, knowledgeable, and very gracious. Angela, the cooking instructor, was all smiles and gave a little history on the meal we were going to have, and the meal itself came out great.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 87 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour?
+
Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Santorini Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
