The best experience

I had the most amazing time in Rio thanks to Faby organising this trip.

Beautiful weather, beautiful views.

Fabiana was excellent. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We booked this tour specifically for the flexibility since it’s a private tour, so we wouldn’t have to wake up early and we could prioritize the things we most wanted to see. We went during Brazil’s winter- the weather was perfect for sight seeing in t shirt and shorts. However at the top of the mountain at Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf it is much cooler so do bring a sweatshirt if you coming during Brazilian winter. We had a great time!! Fabiana also was a great photographer so we got lots of great family photos.

Exceeded our Expectations!

What an incredible tour! We had an amazing time in Rio with Faby. She is super friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We took her advice & grabbed a fast pass for Sugarloaf which probably saved us hours standing in line. We saw everything we wanted to see and even stopped at a museum in Little Africa. 100% recommend. Fully exceeded our expectations!

Look no further, book your private tour with Faby now!

So glad we picked Faby for our private Rio tour! She picked us up on time from our hotel and took us to all the sights we had asked to see. Faby knew how best to navigate the crowds at popular spots like Cristo, Sugarloaf and the Selaron Steps, and where to take the best pictures. She was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable, answering all of our many questions not only about the sights but also about life in Rio and Brazil. She brought us to an amazing and beautiful restaurant in Centro for lunch which was full of locals, where we were the only tourists. Our driver Felipe was fantastic as well. This was one of the best private tours we've taken anywhere in the world. I give Faby my highest recommendation! Tip: we booked directly through her website instead of through a third party platform.

Response from the operator: Wow—what an incredible time we had together! I'm beyond thrilled you chose me to explore Rio with you. This is why references are so important :) From Cristo to Sugarloaf, the colorful Steps, the beach, and more, it was a blast navigating the city and capturing those perfect moments with you. I'm so happy you loved the local lunch spot too—nothing beats sharing authentic flavors with amazing people like you! We are lucky to have you on board, and your curiosity and energy made every moment unforgettable. Thank you for trusting me, it means the world! Sending you a big Brazilian hug and hoping our paths cross again soon. 🌞💃🇧🇷

The BEST tour guide in Rio -Faby!

Absolutely FABY-lous! The Best Guide in Rio We had the incredible luck of meeting Faby during our stay in Rio de Janeiro, and from the moment we met her, we never wanted to let her go! We originally booked her for one day through the Marriott.com site for our hotel—but after just a few hours, we knew we needed her for our entire trip. Since we only had four days in Rio, we had Fabi and her wonderful driver Renato pick us up directly from the airport. Before even checking into our hotel, we were already off on a full-day adventure! That first day was so magical and seamless that we immediately asked Fabi to stay with us for the rest of our stay. Faby was more than a guide—she truly became like family. Her knowledge, warmth, humor, and attention to every detail made our experience unforgettable. With Faby, we visited Corcovado, Sugarloaf, Maracanã with the goal game and we missed the Pele exhibit as it closed early so Faby picked us up the next day to surprise my husband with a return to the stadium, the famous Selarón steps (where she cleverly helped us avoid the long photo lines and took us to an even better photo spot), the “Harry Potter” library and the stunning Tijuca Rainforest. She even persuaded a caretaker to let us tour a historic old house by a waterfall, after my husband expressed a deep interest to see inside, that was no longer open to the public—an experience we never could have had without her. And so much more! She brought us to top-notch local restaurants, a Carnival school, a beautiful church—and as a deeply thoughtful surprise for me, she arranged a private tour of the oldest synagogue in Rio, just for us, despite it being closed. That moment meant the world to me. Faby loves what she does, and it shows in everything she does. She gave us the gift of Rio through her eyes and extreme knowledge—with heart, humor, and unmatched insider knowledge. We left with memories we’ll treasure forever, and a friend we’ll always cherish. We love you, Faby! You are truly FABIlous! — The Márquez Family

Response from the operator: Oh, my heart! 💖 From the moment I met your beautiful family, I felt that the truly magical was about to unfold. What began as a one-day tour blossomed into four unforgettable days filled with laughter, discovery, and genuine connection. You embraced Rio with such curiosity and joy—it was an absolute honor to share my city with you, through my eyes and my heart. And yes—ask me anything! I adore questions. There’s no such thing as a bad one. Whether it’s about culture, history, daily life, or even my own story, I’m here for it all. Why? Because I love Rio deeply, and I want you to fall in love with it just as much as I have! 💫 From the airport pickup to the surprise return to Maracanã, the hidden waterfall house (thanks to your curiosity!), the synagogue visit, and every delicious bite and breathtaking view in between—you turned every moment into a celebration. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives, your stories, your photos, and your hearts. I truly felt like part of the family, and I’d love to have you around every single day! You are FABY-lous too! I’ll treasure our time together forever. And remember—Fabytourguide is your tour guide in Rio de Janeiro! Até sempre, meus queridos! 🌟🇧🇷💃

Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.

How much does Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert cost?

+

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.

Is Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Rio Tour: Christ & Sugarloaf with a Local Expert start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?

+

On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves, Explore the Best of Tijuca Forest – Hike to Peaks, Caves & Falls. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
