A stunning medina but not worth a day trip
The medina is very colourful and worth a visit but Chefchaoen is a 7 hour round trip from Fez so it is a very long way to go to spend a couple of hours there. Granted the countryside on the way is stunning but I am nevertheless surprised that this is the most popular day trip from Fez. Bottom line is that I would not recommend it.

Amazing experience with Hakim
My boyfriend and I visited Morocco for the first time and we were fortunate enough to get Hakim hamzawi as our guide/driver for a bit less than a week as we went to fez, marrakesh and everything in between (I don't really remember the names of those particular places between them)! He was great company and very accommodating :) He definitely made the experience a lot better

A beautiful experience with a friendly, professional and competent driver
I really enjoy the Chefchaouen day tour with our driver, Hakim Hamzawi, that brought us along the way with very suggestive stops in key points, beautiful views and good coffee 😊 Hakim is very kind and friendly, a great singer and very energetic, positive person. Highly recommended!! Chefchaouen is definitely worthy the time spent to go there (almost 4 hours), enchanting blue city.
