About this experience

The day consists of exclusive visits and tastings at privately hosted venues that showcase the wide and balanced variety of the wines that make the Priorat region such a world-renowned success. Depending on the day, lunch is a carefully paired tasting menu that is either hosted at one of the wineries or at a local traditional restaurant showcasing local wines. Priorat Wine tours provide an excellent opportunity to add some amazing wines to your personal wine collection that would be otherwise very difficult and/or expensive to acquire from outside the Priorat or Spain.

  2. Clos Figueras

Clos Figueras is the second out of the three excellent wineries you will visit during this day trip. On your way from Barcelona to Priorat, as you pass eye-catching terraces of vines that are carved into the hillsides, listen to an orientation of the area from your guide. Tellingly expensive, the rich and full-bodied produce of the area has been subject to harsh growing conditions and labour-intensive harvesting; the grapes are mostly picked by hand. After visiting visit a small local winery to sample your first three Priorat varietals of the day, we will head to Clos Figueres winery, run by Christopher Cannan, a pioneering Priorat winemaker. Learn how the wine is produced by grapes from old vines, without the use of insecticides or other products, and recharge with a traditional 3-course lunch, paired with their wines.

120 minutes here · Admission included

  3. Celler Devinssi

Next, continue to the charming village of Gratallops and visit Celler Devinssi, a small boutique winery in the heart of Priorat. Weather permitting, enjoy a memorable wine tasting right in the vineyards, surrounded by spectacular hilltop views. Learn about their artisanal winemaking process and taste a selection of their elegant, limited-production wines.

Great Priorat region introduction!!

Mariela was a great tour guide! The wineries were from very good to good. The last one is the only I would question as part of the tour but the whole experience was great

our guide Anthony was great the whole trip! really appreciate his guidance and the way he took time to explain and answer our questions on the tour, especially since it was the first time visiting a winery ever! also gave us many useful wine related recommendations and tips. helped us get our belongings back when we forgot them at the previous winery as well

Choose Spanish Trails - A Cut Above

If you're into wine, this is your tour and worth a splurge. A two-hour drive south of Barcelona lies the Shangri-la of Spanish vineyards - the Priorat. And if you're lucky enough to get Luca as your guide, your experience will be one of a lifetime. Three distinctive wineries are featured, a wine-paired three-course lunch, ending with a tasting right in the vineyard itself, surounded by spectacular views of this unique valley. Spanish Trails is a tour operator worth seeking out for the quality of their offerings and guides.

Amazing experience in Priorat!

Wow! What a wonderful experience. Priorat is one of those places that most people wouldn't think of when visiting Barcelona, but we are both so glad that we booked this tour. From start to finish, Samuel was friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable about the history of the region. We were able to visit three incredible wineries and try some truly outstanding wines, as well as a really top notch lunch. We were also lucky enough to have a very friendly group with us, which made the experience even more unforgettable. We are so grateful to have booked this experience, and would absolutely recommend anyone else does the same!

Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona cost?

+

Prices start at $238 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 127 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona?

+

Around 44 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
