Friendly family fishing
We've been out fishing with Allen several times. He always makes us, both adults and children, feel very welcome. He is attentive, helping the children to fish, which any non-fishing parent like me needs! The Capt. has a wonderful sense of humor too, which adds to the adult's fun. We've always caught plenty of Flounder too. Great experience, thank you.
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing to fish with Captain Allen time and time again! It’s wonderful to hear that he makes both adults and children feel welcome while keeping everyone involved and having fun. His patience with the kids—and sense of humor for the grown-ups—sounds like a winning combination. 🐟 We truly appreciate your continued support and are glad the Flounder have kept the trips successful! 🎣

Superb trip
Fishing with Mike at Port St. Joe twice in SEP. Top-rate Capt. would say first mate was the badger, but only saw him once; apparently he was unwell lol. Joking aside, if you're going to book a fishing trip, then book with Capt. Mike. The excellent captain really knows his stuff and is excellent with kids and knowledge. Top-rate boat captain, thanks for two superb trips
Response from the operator: Thanks for coming out with Captain Mike twice in September! It’s fantastic to hear both trips were such a success. His knowledge, professionalism, and ability to keep the kids engaged clearly made a lasting impression. And we got a good laugh out of the “badger” making a brief appearance! 😄 We truly appreciate the kind words and hope there are plenty more trips ahead. 🎣

A great time out
Went out on the Port St. Joe for a Sunday morning. We only wanted to stay fairly close, as for some family it was their first time out, and we caught some Mackerel. Carl couldn't have been more friendly. A great experience that will be remembered by the family for a long time. Thanks, Capt. Carl...

First time fishing
Allen is a really nice captain and responded very quickly; he has a husband and two sons of 14 and 17. Allen showed us how to fish, and we were soon rewarded with our first catch. It was lovely being out on the boat with great views of Port St. Joe. We all enjoyed it very much, and We caught 20-plus tripletail, Black Drum, cobia, and Redfish and have just enjoyed every minute.
Response from the operator: What an incredible Port St. Joe fishing adventure! 🎣 Captain Allen made sure everyone felt comfortable learning the ropes, and catching 20 plus fish, including tripletail, black drum, cobia, and redfish, made the day unforgettable. We’re glad your group enjoyed the views, the boat ride, and every moment on the water. 😊

Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Panama City Beach.
How much does Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters cost?
+
Prices start at $425 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Panama City Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Panama City Beach is not rushed.
Is Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Panama City Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Panama City Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Panama City Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Panama City Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Panama City Beach?
+
Panama City Beach sells dolphin encounters, Shell Island snorkel trips, jet ski and pontoon rentals, parasailing and sunset cruises along a long stretch of white Gulf sand. On Outty we rank every Panama City Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shell Island Snorkel and Dolphin Catamaran Cruise with Island Time, Dolphin Sunset Cruise in Panama City Beach on the "Island Time", Cypress Springs Eco Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Panama City Beach?
+
April to May and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Panama City Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Included: Bottled water; All Fishing and Safety equipment; Fishing Licenses; Professional guide and Boat; and Local Bathroom and Marina Facilities. Not included: Gratuities; Food and drinks; On-Board Restrooms; and Sun Protection, T-Top or Shaded Cover. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
What languages is Private Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters offered in?
+

+
