Free time to spend 2 hours to explore this massive site. You’ll walk through the alleys of what was once considered one of the most important commercial centers in the area. Free time for lunch. Continue to Herculaneum and free time to visit the archaeological park. Together with Pompeii, Herculaneum is considered one of the main archaeological sites of the Campania Region today; it is better preserved than the one of Pompeii due to it being buried under a cover of mud and lava. Return to Sorrento in the afternoon.

Unforgettable Step into the Past
Pasquale was our expert driver and Vincenzo was our knowledgeable guide. Pasquale provided a comfortable and safe riding experience and picked us up from and dropped us off right to our door. He provided water bottles and pointed out points of interest during our drive. He even let us stop for a scenic photo overlooking sorrento on the way back. Vincenzo provided an amazing guided tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum. He catered the tour to our interests and answered all of our questions along the way. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and even made sure we didnt miss out on a spectacular historical preservation that had been closed by speaking with the workers to grant us a special passage to take a quick photo anyway. This was a once in a lifetime experience where we truly felt we were stepping into the past. I highly recommend this to everyone!

Great tour company and a highly recommended tour
This was probably one of my favorite tours and our guide was excellent. He was super knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we understood all of the rich history of the area. We really had a great time and the guide and driver were fantastic- I would highly recommend. They tailored our tour for our needs.

Disorganized and acted in bad faith
Although the guide (Luigi) seems knowledgeable, we missed a lot of the commentaries because the group was too large and we got frequently cut off. Apparently we were meant to be in another group…the organizers never accepted responsibility for this mix up. It would have been so easy to introduce us to our guide. They were v self defensive. They did not accept our comment that it was an unsatisfactory experience because they acted according to the guidelines issued (presumably by the local entity that manages the archeological sites). Their attitude was arrogant. If they had said ‘sorry your experience was not great’…I would not be writing this one star review!

An amazing trip. Our tour Guide Connie was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting and a memorable experience. The tour was expensive but worth every penny. My only criticism is that water should have been provided to us.
