Disappointed

The tour itself was ok, our guide was nice but talked way too much. She never shut up to the point the tour took way longer then it should’ve and we still missed things we wanted to see or do.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not fully meet your expectations. We have checked directly with the guide regarding your comments, and according to the tour records, all scheduled locations and activities were completed as planned, and nothing was missed during the tour. For this reason, we would appreciate it if you could kindly clarify which specific places or activities you feel were missed? We are also a little surprised, as no issues were raised during the tour itself. Our guides always welcome feedback on the spot and are happy to adjust the pace or commentary if guests mention it at the time. Why not say something to the guide ? The guide was quite shocked to hear this feedback afterward, as she was not made aware of any dissatisfaction during the tour. Please email us directly and we will also update the listing here after you do that Thanks, Paul

See Big Buddha!

All elements went smoothly. Arrived via tender from our cruise. The guide and driver were excellent. The excursion was a perfect dipping into Phuket sites and heritage.

Response from the operator: Dear Peter, This review is a great win for your business because it highlights how reliable your service is for cruise passengers, which is a huge market in Phuket. Here are a few options for your response: Option 1: Warm & Professional (Focus on Cruise Reliability) "Thank you for your wonderful review! We are so glad to hear that everything went smoothly, from your tender arrival to the tour itself. We know that cruise schedules can be tight, so we’re thrilled our guide and driver provided the perfect 'dip' into Phuket’s rich heritage and the Big Buddha. It was a pleasure hosting you! Must do when in Phuket.

Fantastic from start to finish. Our hostess was very attentive and informative, we had a great afternoon and took in the sights we wanted to see, we were really pleased that we booked for a Sunday as we had a final stop at the infamous Sunday market in the Old Town, we both had some wonderful street food. Can't highly recommend this trip enough.

It's great to know your hostess made the afternoon special with her attentiveness and insights, and that you got to explore the sights at your own pace. Visiting the Sunday Market in Old Town is always a highlight — especially with all the amazing street food! We're so happy you enjoyed the day and truly appreciate your kind recommendation. Hope to welcome you back again soon! Thanks, Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

Fabulous trip with Yo who was very informative about all things Thai. Ideal to do when first in Kata Beach to get your bearings and also see some of the sights. It was great to jump into an air con van too especially as we’d just arrived from sunny England! Would definitely recommend.

Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests) cost?

+

Prices start at $4860 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests) take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests) suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests)?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Phuket Island Tour with Big Buddha (1-8 Guests) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
