as the canyon suddenly opens up. Admire this rose-pink masterpiece, originally built to house priceless treasures and capture it on camera. Then, walk through the widening canyon to witness other monuments such as the 3,000-seater Theater, the Royal Tombs, and the Byzantine Church. As you explore, listen as your guide describes how the Nabateans sculpted the buildings, and learn how they mastered the harsh desert conditions to make their lives here. After around two hours of exploring, enjoy free time. If time permits you can climb up the Monastery on your own or the High Place of Sacrifice: a clifftop altar that was once used for animal sacrifices and other ceremonies. Choose a different company
Felt extremely unsafe as Americans traveling. Driver made multiple unsolicited stops (stopped over 4 times for a 3 hour drive in the middle of nowhere), was unprofessional, and rude when we asked him to not make these stops. He left us in the car multiple times for over 10 minutes to “grab things from his office” and smoke a cigarette. We contacted to edit reservation as 1 person could not make it. They pretended to not see our message and refused to refund us. Purposely not responding or answering our calls. We were provided with a miniature car for 2 people and are being charged for 3 even though only 2 attended. Beware and use any other tour company than this one.
Response from the operator: Hi, please note that the driver does not smoke, he is a non smoking driver and the car does not smell smoke. The stops made as explained earlier: first one to get your detailed documents to drive south to Petra, the second technical stop for bathroom rest, and the third on the way back to fill gas for a 500 kms drive. The cancelation of 1 client was informed as documented within 24 hours and not prior communication has been made from your side earlier. Out of good will we made a partial refund to you. Please note it is not acceptable for you to state un true statements, especially about safety as Jordan is a safe country. Readers will know that these statements are made to intentionally harm.

Overall good day trip to Petra.
The trip was very well organized. I had an excellent driver who makes passengers comfortable and safety first. The guide at Petra too was knowledgeable. However what I have realized is that the Petra day Trip included Amman sightseeing. I am sorry to say that I really do not think the Amman sightseeing part of the deal was covered.
