Great tour!

The tour was great! Kazu was a great guide! He took us to a really nice market and we had the chance to go to his favourite takoyaki spot! It was delicious! Then, we had a really wonderful time in Osaka outskirts. Kazu took us to a really nice mochi shop. The owners were so warmth and let us taste some very delicous mochi! Best mochi ever had! Thank you very much! We really enjoyed our time with Kazu in Osaka. Hope to see you soon! Federica from Italy

It was a pleasure spending the day with you and showing you some of my favorite spots. I am glad you liked the market and especially the takoyaki. It makes me very happy that you enjoyed one of my favorite local places. I am also delighted that you had a great time visiting the mochi shop. The owners are always very welcoming, and I am glad you could experience their warm hospitality and taste such fresh mochi. Thank you again for your kind words. I truly enjoyed our time together as well. I hope to see you again when you visit Japan in the future. Warm regards, Kazu

Best. Guide. Ever.

I learned of Kazu from a friend who had used his services, and he came highly recommended. It was the best decision I made for my entire trip. For our Osaka tour, Kazu showed us all the highlights of the city, making it easy for us to enjoy them in a worry free manner. He tailored our journey to our likes and dislikes, which was awesome. He was knowledgeable, kept everything on schedule, and was a pleasure to be with. On another day, Kazu took us to visit a place we'd always dreamed of visiting-Ohara, Kyoto. We had fallen in love with the place watching a show on NHK World called "At Home With Venetia in Kyoto". He took us to all the places we'd seen in the show, which was amazing. His knowledge made it possible to visit this little town-something we would have never been able to do without his expertise. Hire Kazu for your tour-you won't regret it!

Response from the operator: Dear Todd, First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to meet you through the kind introduction of your dear friend. It was truly an honor to be part of your journey. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and generous review. I’m incredibly happy to hear that you enjoyed the tours in Osaka and Ohara, and that they became a meaningful part of your trip. It was a pleasure customizing the experience to match your interests, and guiding you through the places you had long dreamed of visiting—especially those featured in At Home With Venetia in Kyoto. Your kind words mean a great deal to me, and I deeply appreciate your trust. Should you ever return to Japan, it would be a true joy to welcome you back and explore more together. Wishing you all the best in your future travels! warm regards, Kazu

More Than a Guide – A Friend in Japan

Our trip to Japan with family was truly unforgettable, and exploring Osaka was the highlight of it all. We had the privilege of discovering the city with one of the kindest and most genuine people we’ve met—Kazu. More than just a guide, Kazu became a friend to our family. He helped us experience Osaka in the most authentic way possible, from wandering through the lively Dotonbori streets to trying incredible local treats like vegan takoyaki, strawberry pancakes, melon bread, the best vegan ramen, and some amazing shakes. He even made sure my grandma was always comfortable and looked after all our needs with such care and warmth. One of the most touching moments was when he walked us back to our Airbnb in the middle of a heavy downpour—truly going above and beyond. Kazu also gave us beautiful insights into Japanese culture throughout our time together. If you’re ever in Osaka or anywhere in Japan and want to explore the hidden gems with someone who knows the city like the back of his hand, Kazu is the one you should definitely connect with. He made our journey extra special.

Response from the operator: Dear Tarang, Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. It was truly an honor to guide you and your wonderful family during your time in Osaka. Knowing that your visit became such a memorable experience brings me great joy and gratitude. I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring Dotonbori and trying all the unique vegan treats Osaka has to offer. I’m especially touched by your kind words about your grandmother — it was very important to me that everyone in your family felt comfortable and cared for at all times. The walk back to your Airbnb in the rain is a memory I will also treasure. I’m also glad to hear that the cultural insights added to your experience. Meeting you all and sharing my city with you was a truly rewarding experience for me as well. Your warmth and curiosity made it an absolute pleasure. If you ever return to Osaka or Japan, I would love to welcome you again and help you discover even more hidden gems. Thank you once again for your generous words — they truly mean a lot to me. Warm regards, Kazu

A fun and friendly one day visit of Osaka

Visiting Osaka with Kazu was one of our best days in Japan. He was extremely nice and friendly, and took time to bring us to places that our 14 years old son would enjoy some shopping. It was really interesting and fun to talk with him about japanese daily life and good food, and it was really confortable to just have to follow him, without having to learn to navigate a new city just for one day. We had a great day with nice visits, good food, games, and we laughed a lot ! Without a doubt, I'll book another tour when i'll come back !

Response from the operator: Dear Veronique, Thank you so much for your warm and thoughtful review. It was truly an honor to spend the day in Osaka with you and your lovely family during your stay in Japan. I'm especially happy to hear that your son enjoyed the experience as well. Talking about daily life in Japan and sharing laughs together made the day truly special for me too. Trying the unique crab ice cream together and visiting Osaka’s historical sites were such memorable moments that still remain vivid in my mind. I sincerely hope we can meet again when you return to Japan. I’ll be looking forward to guiding you on another wonderful adventure. Thank you so much once again! Warm regards, Kazu

Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Osaka.

How much does Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity cost?

+

Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Osaka usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Osaka is not rushed.

Is Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Osaka, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Osaka can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Osaka and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Osaka City Tour: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Osaka within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Osaka?

+

On Outty we rank every Osaka experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hungry Osaka Street Food Tour:15 Tastings & 3 Drinks with a Local, Ultimate Osaka Walking Tour: Castle, Dotonbori, Gems & Lunch, Osaka Castle Walking Tour and Castle Tower Admission. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Osaka?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Osaka?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
