Painting the beautiful scenes in Provence France

I had a wonderful experience, plein air painting with an excellent guide in three wonderful locations. Laurent was personable and talented. I learned a great deal from him and highly recommend this experience. Communication was excellent beforehand. I felt confident and excited about the opportunity. I was picked up at my location and delivered back home on time and had in my possession four paintings that I produced along our travels. Do something for yourself and book this. ❤️. PS Laurent is a great cook and I enjoyed our lunch that he prepared. The attention to detail was remarkable! Thank you Laurent. I hope to see you again.

Response from the operator: Janet, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the day we spent together. You have a lot of talent, so don’t hide it! Your painting is really good — just keep at it. 😊 As well as our tours and experiences across Provence, I particularly love the painting workshops, as painting is another passion of mine. Being able to spend time together painting and sharing that experience is a real treat for me too. I’m so happy you enjoyed the day, and I hope the rest of your vacation is going wonderfully. It would be lovely to see you again one day! Laurent

Amazing Contemporary art Displayed in a vineyard!

This is a worthwhile tour to take. I advise taking the first tour at 10 AM with a guide. We had an English speaking guide, who was extremely knowledgeable. This is an art project in progress. It seems that art is acquired on a very select basis and placed throughout the 600 acres of land, most of which is a working vineyard. After the tour, there are several restaurants where one can have a delicious meal.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review and super happy you enjoyed your visit to Château La Coste.

    An Amazing Experience

My visit was one of the highlights of my recent trip to France. I wish I could have stayed all day. The sculpture walk is magical. It is a little hard to find, but don't give up. Give yourself lots of time to do the walk and see the sculpture. Give yourself a break by having a beautiful lunch and a very nice rose.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review and so happy you enjoyed your visit - Château La Coste is an incredible place with a great collection of art & architecture, plus some amazing wines, so pleased you enjoyed all the aspects of your visit. Hope to see you again soon, from us both thank you again Laurent & Christopher OohProvence

Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marseille.

How much does Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence cost?

    +

Prices start at $656 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marseille usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marseille is not rushed.

Is Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Marseille, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marseille can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marseille and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private one day - Painting & Art Class Experience in Provence start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marseille within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marseille?

    +

On Outty we rank every Marseille experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Beyond Bouillabaisse: Diving into Marseille’s Multicultural Stew, Marseille Guided Tour for 4 Hours with a Bilingual Local Guide, Marseille Food Tour – Full Meal of Local Tastes by Do Eat Better. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marseille?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marseille?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
