Almost perfect
We loved walking around Old Delhi with a knowledgeable guide. We liked it so much we are going back! Only reason 4 star versus 5 was we didn’t care for the trip to the high end jewelry store, fabric store or carpet store where we felt some pressure to buy. We just wanted to see Old Delhi and buy some authentic trinkets for family and friends.

Personable & Flexible
Enjoyed our tour with Vineet! Prashant organized it & was easy to communicate with. We discussed car options beforehand to set our expectations, which was good (we chose an SUV over a large van, which gets through traffic easier & faster). Vineet was very personable & flexible. We had 2 parties of 2 flying into different terminals, and they (Vineet & driver) picked us both up (fyi, it was an extra $20USD, but worth the less hassle). We only had 5 hours or so, and we saw as much as we could based on traffic. The rickshaw at the market was our favorite, and seeing the temple feeding the masses was definitely a memorable experience! They kept our bags in the car, we always felt safe, and dropped us off at our hotel. Highly recommend.

Delhi at its best
Prashant met us on our first day as we arrived in Delhi. He was very informative and set out the plans so we understood what we were doing. He always put us at ease, buying the tickets for Temples, Monuments etc so we didn’t have to. We managed to see Ghandi’s last footsteps, Spice markets, had a ride on a Rickshaw, ate from local street food market and tried Samosas, he even went off plan and took us to visit Hindu Temple whereby we were able to see the kitchens behind the scenes preparing food for those in need of meals. Overall great tour and was impressed with Prashant from start to finish.

Best tour guide for non-touristic attractions
Prashant was the best guide we had in India so far! Showed us some non-touristic attractions and explained everything really well.

Wonderful!
Our guide's idea to visit Humayun's tomb early in the morning was very good. It gave us the possibility of visiting the monument with almost no one and to enjoy it much more.

Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours!: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours! cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours! take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours! worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours!?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours! suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours!?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Old & New Delhi Tour - Experience the best of Delhi in 8 hours! start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
