good experience one of the highlight in Cairo. there are many dinner cruises you can take, however my recommendation is Maxim across from the Marriott

The tour guide was pushy and persistent

At first the tour was great! Sherif was our tour guide. He started out great, the van was nice, the conversation was great and then it went downhill once we arrived to the boat. The boat was running late, but instead of telling us that the boat was running late he offered to take pictures for us. When we asked what was taking so long we weren’t given a good answer. Then he started to ask for a review, before the trip had even started. I counted that he asked over 7 times, and only turned on the WiFi for us so that we could check our messages to see if the review link was posted. The food was just okay, the best part about the night was the belly dancer and the male entertainment

Nile River with Dinner Cruise

We were picked up from our hotel and we had a nice conversation on the way to where we were picked up. We waited approximately 30 minutes to get on the boat which was considered part of our tour. We got on the boat waited approximately 20 minutes and then were able to get dinner which was very light. The boat did not leave until almost 9pm and we were picked up at 6:30pm. We went down the Nile for approximately one hour. Our tour guide Sharif asked us to write a review repeatedly from the time we got on the boat until we were dropped off at our hotel. He would turn on WiFi only when asking ya to write a review. It took away from experience. He was very aggressive and pushy toward the end of our tour and we were happy to get back to our hotel. Unfortunately I can’t say I would recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Dear customer Thanks for your comment and We would like to thank you again as these comments on this trip show us why the customer is not satisfied with the trip and what are the weaknesses and is an opportunity for us to avoid such obstacles and we take advantage of our mistakes and work to improve the quality of service. Thank you very much

This was a fun couple of hours...

This was a fun couple of hours. There was a good variety of food. The belly dancer and whirling dervish were enjoyable. A typical tourist attraction, but certainly worth the price. The boat could have used some refurbishing. And the restroom was really sub-par. There are more than one company that offer these Nile dinner cruises. This one was provided by Kemet Eqypt Travel. I might look for one that is higher rated if I were to do this again.

Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show cost?

+

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Nile River, Dinner Cruise with Egyptian Show start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
