Private Night Tour to Enjoy Dynamic Yunnan Show

Horrible experience with tour company, but the show is great

The show is amazing, definitely see the show! Do NOT use this company. I have done dozens of tours using Viator in countries across the world, and this is by far my worst experience. This tour is all about transportation and logistics. Here is what happened: -The company (via Jenny) told me to meet our driver in the lobby at 7pm. -We arrived at 7pm and waited a few minutes, then reached out to Jenny for help. There was no communication about who would be picking us up or their name or information. -After several messages, she responded saying the driver would be there shortly. -At 7:20, the driver was still not there. At this stage, given traffic, there was a risk of us being late to the show. -At 7:30, the driver showed up, 30 minutes late. I suggested we just cancel at that point, because Apple Maps showed it would be 40 minutes to the theater. -Jenny insisted it would only be 20 minutes. I listened to her since I don’t know the local traffic. Guess how long it took? Exactly 40 minutes. We were late to the show, we were rushed in and sat down without a moment to catch our breath with the show already in progress. I asked how to find our driver when we exited, but did not receive a clear answer since we were being rushed in. -Again, the show was great and I would highly recommend it. -After the show, there was no explanation of how to find our driver. We wandered around asking people, no one spoke English, and eventually we gave up after 10 minutes. We ended up taking a DiDi (Chinese Uber) back to our hotel. -The description says this is an English speaking tour - no one spoke English that we interacted with, except Jenny who was our person communicating on the aviator app. I asked her to call me while we were communicating on the app but she never did. -In summary, this tour is all about transportation and logistics. And it failed miserably. We were picked up 30 minutes late, missed part of the show, and were never picked up afterwards. I am an avid user of Viator, there are always logistical hiccups, not a big deal. But this was by far my worst experience so I felt compelled to share my story in this review.

Because we often have impressions of Yunnan show reservation, the hotel shuttle drivers are very experienced. We have sent the hotel information for pick-up and drop off as well as your name to the driver, and they will easily can find the tourists. We have already explained to you in advance the reason why the driver was late by email. Due to an accident and traffic jam on the way to the hotel, we arranged for another car to pick you up as soon as we received the notice. the driver didn’t not follow the GPS, he know the best way to drive and We are sorry that the show was 5 minutes late.. To express our apologies, the driver took fruits and gifts to the theater to pick you up, but unfortunately, you chose to take a Didi ride back to the hotel by yourself before he could find you, and you did not contact us. The driver also left only after receiving notification that you had left through Didi. We did call your Chinese phone number multiple times and it showed that we couldn't get through. The next day, our Yunnan regional manager Tina went to your hotel with a gift to explain to you in person that she had called you multiple times but you didn't answer. She had to use the front desk phone to communicate with you, but you refused and said she's disturbing you. Please have more understanding and tolerance, thanks very much!
