3. Lucea

   Hanover, Jamaica's second smallest parish was founded on 12 November 1723 with Lucea as the capital and main city. Middle 18th century, the farmers of Hanover provided the rest of Jamaica with most of its produce but mainly exported banana and logwood, which is used to make dyes. Fort Charlotte in Lucea was built in 1761. Alongside the fort is an impressive Georgian brick structure known as The Barracks, which was built in 1843 to provide shelter to the soldiers stationed there. In the early 20th century The Barracks became the educational center for the town and has now been transformed to become part of the Rusea's High School complex. In 1982 Rusea's High School was merged with the Hanover Secondary School and is still known as the Rusea's High School (Fort Charlotte). In January 2019 the school was still open and open-air lessons took place inside the fort. The still fully functional Lucea clock tower was built in 1817 and stands in the town center near the Old Lucea courthouse.

5. Seven Mile Beach

   Finding beaches in the Caribbean is easy. Finding beaches that are accessible, clean and family friendly, is a bit of a more difficult task. Lots of families come to the beach because of its shallow and calm water, and the fact that it’s simply impossible to get bored on these shores there’s just way too much to do! Powdery white sand, crystal clear water and loads of watersports set the tone for an experience at Seven Mile Beach which has skyrocketed in popularity over the years. Considered a legendary beach for experienced beach hoppers, Seven Mile Beach consists of a long four-mile stretch, while the other three miles extends into Bloody Bay. Jamaica has a history of pirates. In fact, it was once said to have been ruled by a broad of unruly pirates, but those days are long gone. Nowadays, Seven Mile Beach Negril is famous for something else in entirety, and that is relaxing on pristine shores on one of the best beaches in Jamaica.

6. Rick's Cafe

   Hit the hottest spot west of Kingston to sip delicious cocktails and dig into some jerk chicken and fresh seafood overlooking stunning views. Book a day trip from Montego Bay to jump straight into the ocean from the 35-foot-tall cliffs within the bar or people-watch and lounge in the pool if you’re in a more laidback mood. The DJ keeps the stereo blasting to make sure everyone has an amazing time on the dance floor. Since Rick’s Cafe is close to Jamaica’s westernmost point, watching the sunset here is a truly amazing experience. Families are welcome.
