Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong)
After the ritual, we will bring food to the monk (I will give it for you). Food bringing is one of the most important in Thailand –in Thai villages you still can see how people especially wake up early to give food to the monk. Because that ritual brings luck to your day.

Phiphitthaphan Rup Muean Chao-athikan Wat Chalong
Also, we will make a prediction by Siamsi fortune-telling. Siamsi sticks – is a traditional Buddhist way to predict the future. Many centuries Thai locals using this ritual to get answers about the future - there are more than 28 different predictions, I will translate your prediction for you from the Thai language.

Khet Aphaiyathan
After this, I will bring you around the temple to give you a small excursion about Thai Buddhism. I am from a traditional Thai family, I have a lot of interesting stories to tell. We are not a big company – we are a local family business. Our target is not to make money so Normally group is a pretty small - only 1 to 4 people. So most of the tours going in private style. It helps to keep the best tour quality and keep the morning atmosphere. Skip the tourist traps and explore temple like a local.

Absolutely Appalling Customer Service
After paying and being confirmed 2 days before, we got up at 5am and travelled to the other side of the island to the meeting point for 06:30 am... No Guide arrived for our trip and after several messages even the app help couldn't get hold of the guide... 2 hours we waited in 90° heat to be told the trip is cancelled!!!! They then told me its 3 to 5 days to get a refund!!! I had spent 2500Baht in taxi fees to be told hard luck we can only refund the tour price... they then had the cheek to offer me a 5% discount, but only if I booked 2 more trips with them immediately!!!!!... they didn't care that I had a 14 year old who was extremely upset, the didn't care that our special day was ruined. I had never used this app before, but was advised it was extremely good... Well I beg to differ. There customer service is appalling. Please stay away from booking anything on this app, if it goes wrong, they just don't care.
Response from the operator: Dear Gary, I am truly sorry for what happened on March 19th. I completely understand your frustration and disappointment, especially after waking up at 5:00 am, travelling across the island, and waiting for two hours in the heat. Your booking was made the day before the tour. Unfortunately, I was teaching when Viator tried to contact me, and at the same time I was experiencing an issue with my email, so I did not receive the booking notification in time. While this explains what happened, it is absolutely not an excuse. **I take full responsibility, and I sincerely apologize for letting you and your family down.** I have arranged a **full refund for your tour**, and I am truly sorry that your special day was affected by this situation. If you ever return to Phuket, I would be honored to welcome you back personally. **I would like to offer you and one guest a complimentary tour as my sincere gesture of apology.** There is absolutely no obligation — I simply hope that one day I will have the opportunity to give you the experience you originally deserved. ❤️ I know an apology cannot give you back the time you lost, but I genuinely hope you can accept my sincere apologies. I have taken this experience very seriously and will put better systems in place to make sure this does not happen again. I sincerely hope our paths cross again someday. 🙏🌴 Warmest regards, Sunsanee

Amazing experience
I would recommend this to everyone visiting Phuket. The guide was great, very knowledgeable. She even gave us a goody bag after with fruit and water. Arrived early and was able to see the sun rising there. It was very peaceful.
Response from the operator: Thank you for making my day as special as yours. ☀️💕

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple) cost?
+
Prices start at $1667 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple) take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple)?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Morning Сeremony in Wat Chalong (Chaithararam Temple) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
