It wasn't a tour. It was a personal driver. Just driving. Showed us fruit trees. Went to a souvenir show that was way over priced. Very confused on this tour. The driver Cornell was AWESOME!! He was very friendly and made us feel at ease. He was the highlight of the "tour "

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We value your feedback a lot. We are happy that your guide was awesome and wished that your entire trip was as well. The Souviner show is not linked to our company, wished that had turned out great for you as well. We hope next time around your tour will be great in all aspect. Once again thanks for your positive response and for your support 🙏🏼 We hope to see you again.

Great Guide for an Authentic Jamaican Experience

I can't say enough about my experience in Jamaica. It was great and Cornell facilitated most of the memorable excursions. Cornell came highly recommended from a friend who used his service 2 years prior to me calling. I called him about 2 months prior to arriving in Jamaica. during our initial conversation over the phone Cornell asked that I think of what I want my experience to be like while in Jamaica and to call him back so he can come up with some recommendations. I wanted a mixture of authentic local exposure along with some of the site seeing of course. We have a family of 6. Cornell has a large touring van with plenty of A/C and space. Cornell was always prompt and full of knowledge in his culture and history. One of the things that I will remember the most was when we first got into Cornell's van at the airport. He explained to us how most Jamaicans have great love for their rich culture and roots. "One Love" is actually a way of life. A belief that to love your fellow man is to love yourself and visa-visa. To send love out and in return get it back. During our 2 weeks stay Cornell took us from Dunns River Falls, Horseback riding, Blue Hole, Rafting and from beach to beach. I also was able to gulf, and Cornell was able to arrange it all from his phone. The most memorable time we had was when we were picked up early morning and taken to a small fisherman's bay. They were just coming in from the morning catch and emptying their nets. Cornell purchased a huge bag of fish (parrot and snapper). While there waiting for the fish to get cleaned for us one of the fishermen shared a piece of conch he had cooking on the open morning fire and gave us a little history about that particular area. Then we went to an open market where he purchased peppers onions and other seasonings. Afterwards we started a long drive into the mountains. We finally reached our destination after about 45 minutes to an hour up and down windy country roads. While in "the sticks" as they call it, I witnessed a 60 year old man climb a huge tree for some breadfruit. What got me was he was bare foot and 60. We had food cooked on an open fire and most of it came from the land we were visiting. Great experience. To sum it up, we met strangers in a strange land. They opened their communities to my family and I. Cornell was able to facilitate the ideal vacation for us were everyone had fun doing something. But i finally understood that concept of "One Love". Thanks Cornel

Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $67 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Montego Bay City Highlights & Shopping Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
