A long but enjoyable day….
A long but enjoyable day despite bad weather on the way back. We started by being picked up by the speedboat as our hotel was on the bank of the Saigon river. It was nearly 2 hours to the Mekong river but once we’d arrived we had a temple visit, meeting the master monk, then we went to the coconut village to see different products being made, then some honey tasting. We walked around the island seeing all the plants and animals and then we got a rickshaw to lunch. Very sizable and good quality offering. Then we got into the sampon boats… oh dear the heavens opened! But still we got hats on and umbrellas up and made of it what we could. The weather didn’t let up and it poured down most of the way back including some thunder and lightening. We had an enjoyable day overall, our boat driver and tour guide were both great and made the day what it was. We would definitely recommend but more so when it’s not as rainy.

Great day in the Mekong delta
We had a fantastic day on our private tour of the Mekong delta. Aria was our guide and was amazing. She was super friendly and knowledgeable, and spoke perfect easy to understand English. The boat was stocked with drinks and snacks. We saw how the local villagers made many delicious sweet treats, visited a temple and local market, and had a delicious Vietnamese lunch. On the boat ride back, there was a brief downpour of rain, and Aria and the crew were ready with rain ponchos for us. Thank you for a memorable day
