    A wonderful day out

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough, if you're looking to visit some wineries. Each winery had it's own distinct character and I loved the fact a brewery was included, where we were provided with a really nice lunch of our own choosing. Maggie was a delightful guide, entertaining and informative. With a great playlist for the trip home.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I’m so glad you enjoyed the variety of wineries, each with their own character, and that the brewery stop and relaxed lunch were a highlight as well. Maggie will be thrilled to hear your kind words. She has a great way of making the day both entertaining and informative, and I love that you enjoyed the playlist on the way home too. We really appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again for another small-group premium experience soon.

We had the most incredible experience on this wine tour! From the moment we hopped on the bus, the vibe was fun, relaxed, and perfectly organised. Each winery had its own charm, with beautiful views, delicious wines, and super friendly staff who made the tastings both informative and enjoyable. Our guide was amazing — upbeat, knowledgeable, and made sure everything ran smoothly while keeping the energy high. We never felt rushed, and there was just the right amount of time to soak in each stop, snap photos, and enjoy a few laughs with friends. The whole day felt like a mini getaway filled with great wine, great food, and even better company. If you’re looking for a memorable day out with friends, this tour is an absolute must! Mc Laren vale experience

We booked our tour with Liz, who was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Her new driver Tim joined us as he’ll soon be driving for her, and together they made the day feel relaxed, fun, and really personal. The wineries they chose were fantastic, and the stop at the brewery was the perfect change of pace for my husband. It ended up being just the two of us, which made the whole experience feel truly tailored and exactly how a wine tour should be. Highly recommend to everyone!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for sharing your experience of the McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour. It means the world when guests leave a review like this! It is fantastic to hear you had an absolutely incredible day and I'd love to see you again if you're ever back in Adelaide and would like to explore another region!

Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.

How much does Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings cost?

    +

Prices start at $536 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.

Is Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Adelaide?

    +

On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour, Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Barossa Valley Hop-On Hop-Off Wine Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Adelaide?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Adelaide?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What happens to Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings if the weather is bad?

    +

It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Adelaide. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.

What do travelers say about Private McLaren Vale Wine and Brew Tour with Lunch and Tastings?

    +

Across 24 reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5, recurring themes include food and drink, the guide, knowledge and storytelling. The tastings and food stops are a highlight for most reviewers. One thing to know: Several reviewers comment on how the schedule is paced.
