Trip of my dreams!
I truly cannot say enough good things about Bonnie Scotland Tours, and about my tour guide Robbie in particular. Everything logistically was as expected for a premium tour company - responsive in booking and building out a customized two day itinerary (glad they advised I do two days for everything I wanted to cover! 1 day would have felt rushed), vehicle (and snacks, etc.) were as advertised. Where they really shined was in the actual experience with the guide (Robbie) - he made the trip! Few reasons why Robbie and Bonnie Scotland helped me achieve the trip of a lifetime: First and foremost, Robbie made me feel comfortable throughout. I'm a solo female traveler and an introvert - so feeling at ease with a total stranger is far from a given. Yet I felt completely safe and well cared for throughout. Even better, there was never an awkward moment - Robbie is an empathetic and natural conversationalist, which made the hours pass by in the blink of an eye. His historical knowledge of each site/experience is incredible - I'm an academic person and I peppered him with questions and curiosities throughout, and his well of insights seemed endless. He was flexible and able to adapt the tour to match my interests (and the ever changing weather!) as we went along. He accommodated my need for frequent restroom breaks gracefully. He was a gentleman in helping me with my luggage at pickup and dropoff and making sure I had an umbrella if need be as the weather changed. And he was an excellent photographer! Super helpful to have someone who could snag photos in the gorgeous locations - some of my now most cherished images from the trip are the candid ones he captured (with permission). At every turn, he went the extra mile. I didn't want the tour to end! Now I want to come back ASAP and book a longer tour through Skye... THANK YOU Robbie and Bonnie Scotland tours for making this the trip of my dreams.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was a delight arranging this trip for you and I am so pleased you enjoyed your time with Robbie. Great trip but extra fabulous guide!
Had the greatest trip around the highlands of Scotland with Bonnie Scotland Tours. Our guide, Donald, met us at the hotel in Edinburgh, kilt and all, and got us settled in our comfortable mini-van. Stocked with drinks and snacks we were off on the road for the next 5 days full of wonderous sites. Donald was a fabulous guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating through out the trip. He was on top of sorting out the various parties wishes. (Outlander stuff, castles, Highland cows, art, shopping) The tour covered abig loop of the highlands with stops at all the great locations to see. We did a train from Ft. Williams to Mallig and then a ferry to Isle of Skye. The were did a loop of Skye. With a final stop in Inverness we ended the tour back in Edinburgh. Can't say enough about how great our guide Donald was for the whole trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! Donald had such a great time with you all, it really was a great 5 days. We hope you returned home with fond memories of Scotland and Bonnie Scotland Tours.

Best tour of our trip!
Robbie was a delight! He was so knowledgable and tailored our tour to our interests and energy level. We felt like we had a completely custom experience, the views were beautiful and the history was so interesting. Definitely one of our trip highlights due to the overall experience and tour guide. I know a 10-12 hour tour day sounds long but every moment is needed to see the sights - the van we were in was first class and super comfortable for the whole day. Plenty of planned restroom stops, snacks and sightseeing. Super grateful to Robbie for giving us a 10/10 tour!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review! We are so pleased you enjoyed your day with Robbie and hope you have taken fond memories home. Haste ye back for another Bonnie Scotland Tour!

Amazing experience in the Highlands!
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time in the Scottish Highlands with Bonnie Scotland Tours….from the beginning with the booking itself and answering questions promptly with great communication and helping arrange and design the tour to the highlights we wanted to see they were just great….and the tour itself was amazing made even better by our terrific guide! Nathan had great knowledge of Scotland and its history and his passion for his country was palpable and just made it a great experience for my family and myself….he was so good he was even able to bring out the sun and not let it rain or the wind howl…..and on top of that my wife forgot her phone in the van despite Nathan asking us to check for everything as we got on train back to London…he raced to try to get it to the next train stop but just missed us but was so kind and overnighted us the phone back to London…can’t say enough great things about Nathan and Bonnie’s Scotland tours…look forward to doing tours with them in the future!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving a review Richard. I’m really pleased you and your family enjoyed your time with us. Nathan really enjoyed the tour of the highlands with you as well, so your kind words will mean a lot to him. Thanks again for choosing Bonnie Scotland Tours, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back for another tour in the future.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.
How much does Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands cost?
+
Prices start at $965 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.
Is Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Luxury Tour of Loch Lomond, Glencoe & The Highlands start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?
+
On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Edinburgh: Loch Ness, Glencoe and The Highlands, Edinburgh: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William, Edinburgh Ghost Tour: Mysteries, Legends and Murders. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Edinburgh?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
