Would do it again
It was an amazing experience. The team really catered to our group’s specific needs. We were traveling with autistic children and the crews care and attention really made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall lovely experience. Compliments to the chef as no other boat excursion had complimentary food, and it was delicious! If you are thinking about doing this, do it!

Amazing Experience - DO IT!!
This was hands down one of the best experiences of our trip! The tour is run by the captain and owner himself, and his years of sailing experience made us feel safe, relaxed, and completely taken care of from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible, and every detail of the day felt personalized. We were traveling with our four kids, and he went above and beyond to tailor the activities to what our family wanted to do, making sure everyone, from the adults to the kids, had an amazing time. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a perfect day on the water. You can truly tell how much pride he takes in creating a memorable experience for his guests. If you're considering booking this tour, do it. It was one of the highlights of our vacation, and we would recommend it without hesitation!

What a great sailing experience!
We had an incredible time and will plan to do it again the next time we are in town. Eduardo (our Captain) and Andy (his assistant) were fantastic hosts and made sure we were taken care of. I would recommend this for everyone. It was even better that it was just us.

A Hollywood style sailing experience
This was sooo relaxing experience, we loved everything about this tour, is our third time taking a tour with this company and they trully exceed all expectations with their excellent service and attention to detail, we were picked up at our hotel in Punta Cana and had a comfortable ride to Casa de Campo to take our sailing on the beautiful waters of the Caribbean we had local beer and premium rum, Eduardo kept us entertained and it was exciting to know that the boat was used in a movie, food was amazing and enjoying the clear waters of the sea was the highlight of the trip, I would definetly repeat this tour on my next visit to DR and also recommend 100% this company.
Response from the operator: Ana, thank you for your kind words and your continued trust in our tours! We're thrilled you enjoyed the experience and appreciate your recommendation. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to the Dominican Republic!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island cost?
+
Prices start at $188 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island take?
+
Plan for about 6.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 6.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Luxury Sailing from Casa de Campo to Catalina Island start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
