Fantastic experience
Had a fantastic experience that surpassed all expectations. The driver, captain, waiter and chef were all excellent. We got to see elephants, hippos and alligators close up. The food had wonderful flavour and presentation. The pace was leisurely and relaxed, and being just myself and wife made it special. Loved it and would recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are thrilled to hear that your experience surpassed expectations and that our team—driver, captain, waiter, and chef made it so special for you and your wife. Spotting elephants, hippos, and crocodiles up close is always unforgettable, and we're so glad you enjoyed the food and the relaxed pace. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back aboard again someday.

I 100% recommend this experience — if you’re in the area, don’t miss it. Five stars without hesitation!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable river cruise with Pur Africa! We did a river boat trip in Zimbabwe with Pur Africa, including lunch on board — and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, and the scenery was stunning: truly majestic views and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. We were lucky enough to see hippos, crocodiles, and plenty of beautiful birds, all in their natural habitat — it felt unreal. A huge thank you to the amazing crew who made the experience even more special: • Yolanda, our captain, was exceptional — a fantastic guide and an excellent captain. She knows the wildlife incredibly well and knew exactly where to go so we could spot the best animals, from birds to crocodiles and hippos. • Precious, the chef, served a wonderful lunch. • Tinachet, our waiter, was attentive, kind, and professional. Everything was smooth, friendly, and perfectly organised from start to finish. I 100% recommend this experience — if you’re in the area, don’t miss it. Five stars without hesitation!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking time to share your detailed review and recommendation! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a majestic experience on the river. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the wildlife sightings and the peaceful atmosphere we strive to create. I will be sure to pass your praise along to Yolanda, Precious, and Tinashe—they will be delighted to know they made your trip so special. We take great pride in our team’s knowledge and hospitality, and it's rewarding to see that recognized. We hope to welcome you back to Zimbabwe for another adventure soon Alice.

Fantastic afternoon, very romantic.
Absolutely lovely way to spend a couple of hours on board Kalunda. Captain Daniel, Hostess Yolanda and Chef Kainos gave us a fabulous lunch ( delicious - excellent, actually) while peacefully navigating along the Upper Zambezi. Helped out by the crew we saw all sorts of animals, lots of photos, and learned a bit about the river. This is a very romantic trip for 2 but they can cater for up to 6. Reasonable cost, too. Very highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review and highly recommending our intimate Kalunda Private Cruise, we are glad you had a fantastic afternoon.

Elegant and lovely
What an elegant way to end our trip through the Botswana bush. Our pontoon boat was lovely, as were our Captain, server, and chef. It was just two girlfriends and everything was so elegant and lovely cruising the river for two hours having lunch. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: We are glad you had such a lovely time with us on our private lunch cruise. Thank you so much for the feedback and recommendation.

Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Victoria Falls.
How much does Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River cost?
+
Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Victoria Falls usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Victoria Falls is not rushed.
Is Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?
+
On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side), Zambezi River Class IV-V White-Water Rafting from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe & Zambia: Guided Tour of the Falls from Both Sides. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Private Lunch Cruise on the Zambezi River?
+
Included: Complimentary Transfers to/from Hotel/Lodge in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe Only; Lunch; and Beverages. Not included: Transfers from Livingstone Hotels/Lodges from Zambian Side; and Government fees. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
