Perfect tour of LA highlights
Our group had the best time on this tour of Los Angeles! Our guide AJ was super fun and taught us a ton about LA. He kept the vibe really fun and light and he adapted to our group dynamic right away. Henry, our driver, was incredibly talented at driving a huge bus through LA traffic. The bus was very comfortable and had plenty of AC. It was a fabulous, fun experience, I can't recommend it enough!

We are thrilled to hear that your group had such a fabulous experience exploring the best of Los Angeles with AJ and Henry. AJ has a true gift for keeping things fun and engaging while sharing his deep knowledge of the city, and Henry’s skill and professionalism behind the wheel always help make the journey smooth and comfortable. It makes us so happy to know that your group felt well cared for and that the experience struck the perfect balance of education, energy, and enjoyment. The only tour you need!
Another Side Of LA tours exceeded our expectations! From the initial planning of our customized tour to the tour itself, everyone was friendly, helpful and went truly above and beyond for us! Kenneth helped us plan the perfect tour and let me include places they don’t normally include on their tours. We had tons of emails back and forth to fine tune our schedule to be exactly what we wanted and he was very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. I had reached out to nearly a dozen tour companies with my requests and absolutely none would follow my schedule and also include a child booster seat for my daughter. Our tour guide Jose Oyola was amazing! He was so nice, funny, and hospitable and is some kind of magician with a camera! We got the best photos! Jose was able to share so many fun facts about the places we visited and passed, provided drinks and snacks and even added extra stops to out tour when he saw we had space to fill or were ahead of schedule. This was a perfect experience all around and I would not hesitate to use them in the future and recommend them to my travel clients!
Response from the operator: Dear steph_faw, Wow—thank you so much for your incredible review! It was truly a pleasure working with you to create the perfect custom tour, and I’m so glad we could exceed your expectations. Your kind words mean the world to me and our entire team. We take great pride in being flexible, accommodating, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to creating experiences tailored for families. I’m so happy we could make your day seamless, comfortable, and memorable—including providing that booster seat and honoring your custom itinerary. And of course, huge kudos to Jose—he’s a true gem and we’re lucky to have him representing our team with his humor, knowledge, hospitality, and amazing photography skills! We’d be absolutely honored to welcome you back again—perhaps next time for another unforgettable adventure in San Diego or Las Vegas. Both cities offer so much to explore, and we’d love to craft another one-of-a-kind experience just for you and your family. With heartfelt thanks, Kenneth President & CEO Another Side Tours, Inc.

The best LA tour you can take!
My family booked this tour because it was my parents first time in LA and it was one of the best and informative tours we have ever been on! It starts with the owner, Kenneth. I had some questions about booking time and our service dog and he personally called me, recommended the perfect start time and said he would love our dog to join us, he gets hospitality and customer service. We arrived at the starting point and were greeted by our host, Jeffrey. He is one of the nicest guys you can ever meet. He loaded us all in the luxury Mercedes van, stocked with waters/treats, and off we went. The tour is 5 hours, with a lunch stop at the famous Farmers Market. Time flies though! You’ll go through the Hills for breathtaking views, visit Hollywood sign, get the tourist Hollywood experience (Chinese Theatre/Dolby Theatre/Walk of Fame), see movie studios, celebrity past/present homes, Rodeo Drive, and much more. The entire tour our guide, Jeff told us facts and stories about the different areas we visited. His knowledge and stories were worth the price of admission. This was the ultimate LA in a day tour. Highly recommend. Private tours are the way to go and this is the one you want.
Response from the operator: Dear V1556ECnickj, I'm truly touched by your detailed and heartfelt review of our Los Angeles Highlights Tour! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience so thoroughly. I remember our conversation about your service dog, and I'm a firm believer that everyone, including our four-legged friends, should be able to enjoy exploring LA comfortably. Jeff will be thrilled to read your kind words. His wealth of knowledge and storytelling ability, combined with his friendly demeanor, make him an exceptional guide, and I'm delighted he made such a positive impression on your family. We specifically chose the Mercedes van for its comfort and ability to provide a luxurious experience, and I'm glad you appreciated those thoughtful touches like the refreshments. It's particularly rewarding to hear that the tour helped give your parents such a comprehensive first-time LA experience. From the Hollywood Hills views to the classic stops along the Walk of Fame, and from the movie studios to Rodeo Drive, we carefully crafted this route to showcase the best of what LA has to offer. Your recommendation of private tours means a lot to us, as we believe they provide the most personalized and memorable experience possible. Thank you for choosing Another Side Tours for your family's LA adventure! Best regards, Kenneth Owner & CEO Another Side Tours

Thanks for the Memories!
I truly had such a great experience. Oyola was an excellent tour guide and knew lots of short cuts to get us closer to the things I wanted to see. The tour covered everything I wanted to see and since traffic was light that day, he was able to fit in a couple of surprises for me. Excellent recommendations for lunch and goodies at the Original Farmer's Market. So much fun and something I will remember for years to come!

John McLean’s finest hour
An incredible whirlwind of action, thanks to unser host Ben from Hamburg. His love of 1980s Hollywood TV and movies was infectious and related exactly to the sights we were seeing. In fact we saw so many sights it’s hard to pick a winner. I mean, it was obviously the Nakatomi Plaza. Who am I kidding. Can’t wait to come back! Danke schoen Ben!
Response from the operator: What an exhilarating review! We're thrilled to hear that Ben, our amazing host from Hamburg, made your tour an unforgettable experience filled with action and excitement. It sounds like Ben's passion for 1980s Hollywood TV and movies added a unique and infectious energy to your tour, perfectly complementing the sights you were exploring. And of course, seeing iconic landmarks like the Nakatomi Plaza must have been an absolute thrill! We can't wait to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. Danke schön for choosing our tour and for sharing your incredible experience!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.
How much does Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $324 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.
Is Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Los Angeles Highlights Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?
+
Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Los Angeles Original 90-Minute Walking Tour to The Hollywood Sign. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?
+
March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Angeles?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
