    Amazing Tour Experience!

I went to San Diego a few years ago with my husband and did a side car tour with Niko!! The best experience! So much fun, learned a lot about the city, saw gorgeous views, even stopped for ice cream. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you, Niko!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for trusting me with your afternoon in San Diego. It was a joy to show you around. See you next time. Nik

    So fun! Just do it!

Had a GREAT time with Nikola and his tour. He had my parents in his sidecar while i followed on my bike. Everything was really easy, well planned out and nicely organized. Nik was a very friendly guild and had so many historical fun facts that he pointed out along our route. We had an fun time speaking through the headphones to each other and pointing out all the amazing sights and vantage points. 1000x would book again. I'm if you want a fun new way to see the city of San Diego this is it!!

Response from the operator: It was great showing you all my town - thanks for taking my tour and till the next time!

Best way to experience San Diego!!!

This was the highlight of our short visit to San Diego. Nik gave us a tour of La Jolla, and though we had visited already we learned so many incredible things we hadn't known. The sidecar is tons of fun and Nik is an amazing guide - knowledgeable, passionate, and with a contagious enthusiasm. We saw the sunset over the ocean beautiful, beautiful parts of town off the beaten path, and a view of the city from a mountaintop. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Wonderful spending the afternoon with you and showing you my town. Safe travels - Cheers!

The BEST tour, so fun and unique!

Pegasus Sidecar tours is the most innovative way to see La Jolla and San Diego. I mean, how often will you get to do a private, personal tour on a motorcycle sidecar or motorcycle? Nik is an amazing tour guide, he's very knowledgeable, has an infectious enthusiasm and passion for the area and is just an honest to goodness great person. Do a picnic with him if you can, it is absolutely worth it. Looking forward to doing more tours with them when we're on town next.

Response from the operator: I had an awesome afternoon with you tow and enjoyed sharing the picnic with the views throughout - please having you in my little town - and looking forward to the future visits. Be well in the meantime, and thank you once more! Cheers!

Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Jolla.

How much does Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar cost?

    +

Prices start at $305 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Jolla usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Jolla is not rushed.

Is Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Jolla, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Jolla can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Jolla and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private La Jolla Tour by Sidecar start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Jolla within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in La Jolla?

    +

La Jolla is San Diego's best water day: kayak tours into the sea caves, snorkelling with leopard sharks in the ecological reserve, coastal walks with sea lions and sunset sails. On Outty we rank every La Jolla experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cali Dreaming Electric Bike Tour of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, Incredible Slot Canyons to the Pacific, SoCal Riviera Electric Bike Tour of La Jolla and Mount Soledad. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit La Jolla?

    +

June to September for warm water, year-round for kayaking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in La Jolla?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
