The Best Street Food Experience in Hanoi – Thank You, Chi! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our private Street Food Tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter with Chi was one of the highlights of our trip! From the very beginning, Chi made us feel welcome and comfortable. She was incredibly kind, patient, and especially thoughtful with our daughter, making sure she felt included and enjoyed every part of the tour. That made the experience even more special for our family. Instead of taking us to touristy places, Chi introduced us to authentic local restaurants and food stalls where she loves to eat herself. It felt like exploring Hanoi with a friend who wanted to share her favorite places with us. Every stop was delicious, and we learned so much about Vietnamese cuisine and local culture along the way. We laughed a lot, had wonderful conversations, and enjoyed some of the best food we had during our stay in Hanoi. This tour is absolutely worth it, and we would book it again without hesitation. Thank you, Chi, for such a fun and unforgettable evening!

The best
My was amazing ! A wonderful night - kids loved it and I loved seeing them experience Vietnam through the eyes of a local and eat all the culinary delights. Fabulous tour!

Great fun for a family evening out
This was a great tour, our guide Max was excellent with the kids who didn’t complain about walking at all on the 2.5 hour tour. We tried some authentic local spots that we would never have come across had we done our research. A nice way to try some local delicacies and have all the stress of ordering and translations taken away! Max was also patient when we wanted to make a stop at a Photo Booth we found en route the journey.

Highly recommended
We loved Cherry. She found many places with good food, including food for our 6 year old. Highly recommended for everyone but perfect if you have kids 😄

Travelling with children
I did this with my 12-year-old and 10-year-old and they really enjoyed it and it was a great experience for getting them used to 10 day trip in Vietnam. My youngest very much enjoyed our last stop which was vermicelli with barbecue pork! Delicious!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private kid-friendly Hanoi food tour with a taste of great dishes start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
