What you get

    About this experience

Sipping in the South was born from a bold idea: bourbon deserves more than a bus ride, a stamp in a book, and a cookie-cutter, self-guided checklist. This tour is everything The Kentucky Bourbon Trail® isn't. Raw, Real and Straight from the Barrel We book three hand-picked distilleries, where you'll drink bourbon the way it was meant to be enjoyed: pulled straight from the barrel in true Kentucky Fashion. Every tour begins with our Bourbon 101 Social an interactive, hands-on introduction to nosing and sipping that gives you the tools to truly enjoy what you’re tasting. Because when you understand bourbon, everything else gets better. Then we wind down the day with cigars, fire pits and plenty of good bourbon. It's not just a tour, it's a full-on bourbon country experience, crafted for those who want something more authentic, and more memorable than a self-guided, cookie cutter tasting trail. ...and YES, we even save 30 minutes for rare finds at local liquor stores.

    Bourbon and Bros

Didn’t know what to expect but this company came highly recommended. It was amazing! Learned a little, drank a little, drank some more and good bourbon too! The cigar garden and appetizers at the end of the tour was a special touch. We sipped woodford double double and woodford 4 grain along with Blantons gold. We will be back to do bourbon county south! Many thanks. Marco and the guys

Best Bourbon Tour Referred by American Express

#1 in Louisville for a reason. The words that come to mind - Authentic, personal, private hands-on. We were referred to her by American Express and while Angelique was a little hard to get an hold we soon understood why. She spends time with each client to make it unique and educate them on the industry, sharing the inside scoop. Her attention to detail and knowledge of bourbon made this trip magical. Disney for Adults. Mixology class with Jeptha creed was so much fun. The boys loved sipping with the owner right from Barrels. We ended with a 2 hour experience at the Chateau on 6th with the Pappy Challenge and cigar garden. We researched the other tours and this one was bar far the most unique.

Last Minute Bourbon Tour was outstanding

Angelique was amazing. We went hard the night before at the Laundry Cellar Speakeasy so had a rough start getting going. Angelique was able to adjust the schedule and came with the bourbon rescue kit! Instead of breakfast and bourbon it became brunch and bourbon. The chef even fixed a vegan option for one of the guys. Old Louisville whiskey co was so interesting and the funnest drinking from barrels. We booked with her AfterParty Team. Keith and Sara had us partying til the sun came up. We had so much fun we’re coming back again for the bachelor party.

    We will return

This was fantastic. Me and two of my sons celebrated Memorial Day and this is one stop we all enjoyed. Great view and tastings. We will be back.

Response from the operator: We had so much fun, the team is still riding the bourbon high. Until next time… cheers

Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Louisville.

How much does Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s cost?

    +

Prices start at $1600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Louisville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Louisville is not rushed.

Is Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Louisville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Louisville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Louisville and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Kentucky Single Barrel Tour- Chasing Blanton’s start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Louisville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Louisville?

    +

Louisville runs bourbon distillery tours and tastings along the Urban Bourbon Trail, Churchill Downs and Derby Museum visits, Louisville Slugger factory tours and river cruises. On Outty we rank every Louisville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Old Louisville Walking Tour, ORIGINAL Old Louisville Walking Tour seen in The New York Times!, Secrets of Louisville: 3hr NuLu Food & History Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Louisville?

    +

April to June and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Louisville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
