She knows the history, and she takes great photos too!
We had Heba for a full day in Cairo and she made it one of the best days of our trip. She showed up ahead of schedule, which set the tone for how well organized the whole day was. What stood out most was her depth of knowledge. She didn't just point at things and give us dates. She walked us through the history and the culture behind what we were seeing, answered every question we threw at her, and went into the kind of detail that actually made the sites make sense. She also turned out to be a wonderful photographer. She took the time to capture our day with real thought and a photographer's eye, and we came home with pictures we will actually keep, not just the usual snapshots. If you are looking for a guide in Cairo who genuinely knows her subject, cares about sharing it, and looks after the small things too, book Heba.

Great Tour
We booked this tour directly with Egypt Tailor Made. Egyptian Museum was amazing and our guide Sabry was so informative and added so much to the experience. He was also great at the pyramids and Sphynx with his knowledge. Wonderful experience. Have no hesitation in recommending
Response from the operator: It is wonderful to see another great review for Sabry! He truly has a gift for making both the ancient monuments and the museum galleries come alive with his knowledge. Here is a warm, human response for your Tripadvisor page: "Thank you so much for the wonderful review and for booking directly with us! We are thrilled to hear that your journey to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Giza Pyramids, and the Sphinx was such a fantastic experience. Sabry is an exceptional guide, and we are so glad that his deep knowledge and insights added so much value to your day. Navigating both the grand museum halls and the massive pyramid plateau can be overwhelming, but Sabry loves making that history accessible and engaging for our guests. We will be sure to pass your compliments and recommendation along to him—it will put a big smile on his face! Wonderful tour pyramids, GEM, Sakkara.
We had a great tour with Mr Tawfik of the pyramids, GEM, Sakkara and part of old Cairo. His knowledge of all the sites was tremendous. He was able to take us into some sites closed to others, which was amazing. It was also very helpful to have a guide to navigate you through all the sites and lines quickly. We highly recommend Tawfik. Also Emad our driver was great in Cairo’s crazy traffic!
Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for the great review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had such a wonderful tour of the Pyramids, GEM, Saqqara, and Old Cairo with Mr. Tawfik. With his extensive background and expertise, Mr. Tawfik is fantastic at providing exclusive insights and navigating our guests through the sites and lines effortlessly. We are also glad to hear that Emad provided excellent service and kept you safe and comfortable through Cairo's busy traffic. We will be sure to pass your high recommendation and kind words along to both Mr. Tawfik and Emad. Thank you for choosing Egypt Tailor Made, and we hope to welcome you back for another amazing journey in the future! Warmly, The Egypt Tailor Made Team"

Great value and awesome experience.
This was a really excellent experience, great value for the money. Heba was a wonderful guide, sharing great facts but not overwhelming us, helping us feel like we really got to know the country, and even making us take some cool photos we would never have asked for that turned out great. She was also flexible as we adjusted a couple things. The value paid here for a private experience was excellent, no unnecessary frills just great value for the money.

Why this scores 84
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids cost?
+
Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
