Would Have Loved To Have Gone On This Tour!

I can't review this tour because the tour guide never showed up! We waited in the excruciating heat for over an hour, but nobody came. The guide didnt realize which day we had booked for the tour! On the positive side, Viator refunded us totally and apologized for the error.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for this unfortunate experience. Due to an internal scheduling error, the guide mistakenly recorded the tour for the following day. We fully understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, especially after waiting in the heat for so long. This was entirely our mistake, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience it caused. As soon as we became aware of the situation, we arranged for a full refund and offered our deepest apologies. While we're glad the refund was processed promptly, we understand that it could not make up for the lost time during your visit. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have reviewed our internal procedures to help ensure that situations like this do not happen again. Kind regards,

    A totally awful experience

A totally horrible experience. We showed up at the meeting place at the agreed time of 1 o’clock and no one was there. When we tried calling the telephone number, we were transferred to a number in Russia and was told that no one could answer the phone. We waited in the pouring rain until 130. We have been Viator users for many years, and this was the first time that we have been totally disappointed in our experience.

    Exceptional!

I have been on several Jewish heritage tours throughout the world. None were as comprehensive as the one we took in Dubrovnik with Vensa. Her historical knowledge of the Jewish community and Croatia was exceptional.

    Lacking in Basic Customer Service

Terrible customer service from Viator. Company took no responsibility for the cancelled tour (which they contract out to a local company). Tried to avoid refunding me by telling me the local company wouldn't offer a full refund (I booked with Viator, not with a local company), and by telling me that the local company was offering an alternate tour for 10% off what I paid initially (I was not interested in the alternate tour). On top of that, my credit card was charged the full amount AFTER the local company cancelled my tour. It was a lot of back-and-forth emails until I finally got my refund (which should have been done as soon as my original tour was cancelled). Also...in a major tourist city, and a popular cruise port, do they really only have ONE local person who can offer that tour, with no alternate person when that one person gets sick? I would never book with Viator again.

Response from the operator: Dear Tamara, We are sorry your tour had to be cancelled. We offered you an alternative tour, but you declined the offer. You were fully refunded the same day, without any delay. Please double check with your bank. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Jewish Tour in Montevideo with Fanny Margolis

From the moment I first contacted Fanny Margolis, communication was easy and quick. Her knowledge of Jewish history and culture in Uruguay along with her engaging storytelling made our time with her both educational and inspiring. Fanny offers a unique perspective on Montevideo's rich and diverse heritage. It is clear that she has a passion for sharing this heritage. I highly recommend touring with Fanny. You will not be disappointed!

Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.

How much does Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert cost?

    +

Prices start at $395 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.

Is Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Jewish Heritage Walking Tour in Dubrovnik with Local Expert start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
