Great fishing trip
The weather was great. The guide was great. The fish didn’t totally cooperate, but the seagulls tried to eat all our bait, but we had a great time and Captain Wayne was fantastic.
Response from the operator: Thanks for spending the day on the water with Captain Wayne! 🎣 Even when the fish don’t fully cooperate, a great guide, good weather, and a fun crew can still make for a memorable trip. We’re glad you enjoyed the experience and hope to have you back for another adventure with more bites next time! 😊

Gorgeous Full time!
Had a fabulous 4-hour outing fishing with Wayne today ... lovely day, great fishing, and good company! Thanks, Wayne! We'll definitely be back soon! PS Just had king mackerel for supper. Gorgeous!! Next time, 6 hr for sure.
Response from the operator: That’s a pretty perfect day—great fishing, great company, and king mackerel for dinner to top it off! 😄 Captain Wayne will be glad he made it such an enjoyable trip. Sounds like the 4-hour was just the warm-up—we’ll be ready for that 6-hour next time 🎣

Fantastic everything!
We booked this trip for 4 of us for 4 hours and had a fantastic experience. We managed to catch 12 Black Drum and 10+ Red Snapper, which enabled us to cook them on the barbecue for lunch the next day. We found it to be excellent value for money. Wayne was lovely and very accommodating, and we would definitely do this again. We also found that this trip was one of our highlights of our holiday, and we would definitely do it again...!
Response from the operator: That’s a fantastic haul—black drum *and* red snapper makes for a pretty great BBQ lineup! Captain Wayne will be glad he made it such an easy and enjoyable trip for you all. Sounds like a holiday highlight for sure. We’ll be ready when you come back for round two 🎣

My son enjoy time!
My 13yo son and I went on a fishing trip on the Private Jacksonville; it was brilliant. The captain, Wayne, was friendly, knowledgeable, and really patient with us (it was our first experience of sea fishing). We caught lots of fish, including 20+ redfish and cobia, learned lots about the local species, & we had a delicious fresh fish dinner at home. It was a perfect introduction to fishing, and we both had a fantastic time. next visit in May holidays
Response from the operator: That’s a perfect first sea-fishing experience—20+ fish and a fresh dinner is hard to beat! Captain Wayne will be glad he made it fun, informative, and memorable for both of you. Sounds like you’ve officially caught the fishing bug. We’ll see you again in May 🎣

Fishing feels like Captain Jack Sparrow vibes.
Move over Captain Jack Sparrow. Wayne made our son's dream come true. A week of bad weather, and on Thursday it broke. Lots of fish were caught, like cobia, king mackerel, black drum, snook, barracuda, and grouper an exciting outing that the children loved. We couldn't recommend this trip more. Thank you, Wayne.
Response from the operator: Move over Captain Jack Sparrow indeed—Captain Wayne sounds like the real deal! 😄 We’re so glad the weather turned and delivered such an action-packed day for your son. That’s a catch list to remember for sure. Thanks for the kind words—we’d love to have you back aboard again 🎣

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jacksonville.
How much does Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter cost?
+
Prices start at $350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jacksonville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jacksonville is not rushed.
Is Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jacksonville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jacksonville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jacksonville and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jacksonville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jacksonville?
+
Jacksonville spreads along the St Johns River and 20 miles of Atlantic beach: kayak and paddleboard tours, brewery crawls, airboat rides and short runs down to Amelia Island. On Outty we rank every Jacksonville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek, The Escape Game at St. John's Town Center in Jacksonville, Electric Bike Art and Architecture Guided Tour in Jacksonville. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jacksonville?
+
March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jacksonville?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
