Captain Didn’t Show Up Despite Multiple Confirmations from Company
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK A FISHING TRIP WITH THIS COMPANY!! Here is what happened to us: My son had been looking so forward to going on a fishing trip in Florida, so we booked a half day trip with ioutdoor adventures. Everything seemed fine, they sent me multiple email and text confirmations, but when we showed up for our 7 am departure at Port Canaveral nobody there seemed to have ever heard of our captain, David Nelson. When I reached him on the phone at exactly 7 a.m. it seemed like I had awoken him from his sleep. When I asked him if we were waiting in the right place, he said, “Oh, I told the company I couldn’t do the trip. You’ll have to take it up with them,” with barely a trace of apology in his voice. I made repeated calls to the company and left multiple messages. I did not reach someone live on the phone until after 9 a.m. at which point I was able to ensure our trip would be completely refunded, again without a drip of sincere apology in her voice. But what can’t be refunded is the time we wasted, dragging our sleeping boys out of bed at 5 am, for the 3 hour round trip from Orlando to Port Canaveral, all for nothing. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!! To paraphrase my teenage sons, “ They are SUS!”
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by this experience. This is certainly not the standard of service we strive to provide. We have addressed this issue and Capt David is no longer part of our staff to ensure it doesn't happen again. We sincerely regret any disappointment and wasted time. And if you find yourself in the area once again, contact us so we can make it up to you and provide the level of service you deserve!

First Bass Fishing Trip with 10-year old Son Lake Toho
Incredible 8-hour day of Bass fishing on Lake Tohopekaliga with 10-old son and Captain Steve Niemoeller. Family visit to Orlando to get out after 3+months of quarantine from COVID. Decided to look into local fishing trips and found this Bass fishing trip on lake Toho. The lake was about a 45 minute drive from the Holiday Inn Club Vacation HICV resort at Orange Lake where we stayed. Got up early and met Captain Steve at Wild Willy’s, where he already had the boat in the water and was waiting for us. We were on the water to start our adventure before 7am. Captain Steve took us to a picturesque fishing location on the opposite side of the lake where we almost immediately started catching Bass with the live Shiner bait we purchased (highly recommended). We moved to a variety of locations throughout the day and proceeded to catch Blue Gill, Redear Sunfish, and Copperhead Bream. The highlight of the day was definitely catching a 6lb 11oz Bass. At the end of an exciting and hot day of fishing we cleaned the fish we kept and took them back in a cooler of ice for a fish dinner later that evening. Captain Steve provided the perfect setting and relaxed atmosphere for an incredible day of fishing. A day full of memories my 10-old son and I will never forget. If you are in the Orlando area and looking for something different (besides visiting the theme parks and tourist traps) I highly recommend contacting Captain Steve to book a fishing trip on Lake Toho or one of the other fabulous lakes nearby. Thank you Captain Steve for a beautiful 5 STAR fishing day! ☀️ 🎣

6 hr Inshore
Had a great time on the water with Captain Mark. He was on time, professional, very helpful and friendly. He knew exactly where to take us for some great action. In six hours we caught multiple huge snook, a redfish, Jacks, and pompano. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, a manatee and stingray. Captain Mark took care of our every need and will definitely book again next year!!

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Canaveral.
How much does Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida cost?
+
Prices start at $375 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Canaveral usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Canaveral is not rushed.
Is Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Canaveral, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Canaveral can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Canaveral and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Inshore Fishing Charter Near Orlando Florida start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Canaveral within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Canaveral?
+
Cape Canaveral is built around Port Canaveral and the Space Coast: Kennedy Space Center trips, launch viewing boats, cruise transfers, deep-sea fishing and dolphin tours in the Banana River. On Outty we rank every Cape Canaveral experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures ticket, Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport MCO and Hotels Private Transfer, Dolphin & Manatee Kayaking Tour in Orlando Area. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Canaveral?
+
Year-round; book around published launch windows. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Canaveral?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
