    Drivers Made the Trip

Our drivers were amazing, Carlos and his partner did a great job of telling us about Jamaica and DJing the drive. Horse back riding was just ok. They don't tell you that you have to take the horses on side of highway to get to the beach. The beach (and road) had so much trash along it. We didn't go in the water much and the ride along the beach wasn't very far. We had an incident with one of the horses and a rider in our party but the horse guides took care of everything. My horse guide was really good and told me about the local fish village we rode past. The falls were pretty but a little hard to climb, it was very slippery. We did the guided tour but you can make it on your own. The group we were with was big and we got separated, but that wasn't a problem. Don't walk through the merchant village on the way out of the park, the vendors were extremely pushy. We were told the other waterfalls has locations you can jump off rocks, this location you couldn't do that. Overall good trip, our drivers really made it worth it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback we appreciate you, Dunn's River don't have much spots to jump from the Falls with the jumping is BlueHole Falls. your horse back riding was done in the rain so there was a mud pit in the trail and it wasn't safe to have you all walk through it that's why they use a short piece of the road the skip the mud pit its was done mainly for your safety, I do apologies if it felt awkward but again it was done for safety its not a common practice and the mud pit is fixed now we no longer have to deal with it. I do look forward to see you guys again soon! take care

    Highly Recommended Tour Day

I don’t normally book on Trip Advisor but our resort was in Trelawny and not near any starting point for the major tour companies. Trey communicated with WhatsApp to ensure we were picked up and he was early! He took us horseback riding and told us about his island as he drove. When we got to the excursion he made sure to tell us to be safe and warn us that the locals would be pushy selling things but just to ignore them. The horseback riding is very muddy so don’t wear nice clothes! After that we went to the Falls. This is considered an extreme hike so be careful!! Bring water shoes and don’t bring bags or anything. Leave in the car. After the waterfalls he took us by Starbucks and let us get our American pleasure in before returning to the hotel. During the car ride we discussed chocolate milk as his favorite drink. I told him that was my husbands favorite drink as well. He made a special trip the next day back to my hotel to drop off the local chocolate milk mix so I could take some to my husband. Overall 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Response from the operator: Thank you for your generous words it was a pleasure being your tour guide! Love the positive energy you guys had.

How much does Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour take?

Is Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour?

Is Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Horseback Riding, Swimming and Dunn's River Falls Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
